I Love Copper!

Well, I had a really hard time coming up with my favorite product for this suite…everything is so gorgeous!  I love copper and all of the products in this suite (except the stamp set and punch) have some touch of copper!  What’s a girl to do.  I almost had to do “eenie meenie minie moe” to choose one but I finally settled on:

147816GThe Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper!  (#147816 $14) Oh, my!  Look at all of those amazing patterns!

I know, I chose the designer paper in the Festive Farmhouse Suite last week but when you like something you’ve got to go with it!

boxesDesigner Paper is so versatile.  Sure, it can add pizzazz to a card but it’s also great on 3D items.  Check out these boxes that I found on Pinterest!  Thank you Sam Hammond Donald for sharing such beautiful projects!

These boxes were all made with the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper and coordinating cardstock and embellishments.  You can find everything but the cardstock and the Tranquil Tide ribbon in the Joyous Noel Suite on page 29 of the Holiday Catalog.

I’m definitely stocking up on these fun coppery products.  I love them!  Have you added them to your list?

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

The Joyous Noel Suite

Joyous Noel SuiteThe week’s suite of the week is the Joyous Noel Suite found in Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog.

In my opinion, this suite contains the most gorgeous products that you’ll find in the Holiday Catalog.   “Deck your halls with elegant touches of copper” is how Stampin’ Up! describes this suite.  There copper accents on one side of each sheet of the STUNNING designer series paper, a copper sheen on one side of the reversible ribbon and a copper touch to one of the glimmer papers and the wire elements.  If you like copper, this suite is for you!

In this section of the catalog you will also find 4 other stamp sets, a new tool and 2 kits.  You can find all of these great products on pages 28-35 of the Holiday Catalog.   https://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/2018%20Holiday%20Catalog/20180710_HOL18_en-US.pdf.

86ccb0340d6779df3b3eeb62dc74ddb0This beautiful sample which I found online shows off the designer paper, the gorgeous reversible ribbon and the Sprig Punch which can be purchased separately or in a bundle with the Peaceful Noel stamp set.

You will definitely have to check out the Joyous Noel Suite and let me know in the comments below what your favorite item in the suite and/or section of the catalog is.  I know I’ll have a hard time deciding, but I’ll let you know tomorrow.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

You’ve Got to See This!

I will admit that I do not own the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and the Farmhouse Framelits Dies but after seeing so many fabulous cards online using these products I am sorely tempted.

Glenda1I received this card in a swap and wanted to head right over to my computer and order the Farmhouse bundle just so I could recreate it!  This card is AMAZING!  Look at all the detail that went into making this card!  Isn’t it gorgeous?   Thank you to my sister demonstrator Glenda who created this card!

Glenda4This style of card is called a Double Z-Fold.  The card itself is a Z and then the picket fence is on Glenda2another piece of cardstock that makes a Z going the other way.  Check out some of these other pictures.  Don’t you want to make this as your Christmas card?  OK…maybe just make a few of them for those special people in your life…..

Don’t forget to add the Festive Farmhouse Suite and the Stampin’ Blends to your next order!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this fabulous card.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Tip of the Day with Your Stampin’ Blends!

The other day I mentioned that my favorite product from the Festive Farmhouse Suite in the Holiday Catalog was the fun Designer Series Paper.  I was also telling you that it’s not just for Christmas.

blends ribbon cardSo…I got out my Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and went to work.  After a little pondering, I came up with this simple anniversary card.   No, it’s not my anniversary but the Cherry Cobbler stripes on the paper made me think of hearts for some reason.

It’s a pretty simple card but what I want you to notice on the card is the ribbon.  Check it against the ribbons you find in both catalogs.  It’s not in a catalog, is it?  🙂

blends ribbonHmm….how did I get Cherry Cobbler ribbon?  I used the Whisper White 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon and my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker!  It was so EASY!  With the brush side of the marker I just kept adding color to the ribbon to get the saturation that I wanted.  To keep my fingers from getting marker all over them I kept the ribbon on the roll as I colored the length that I wanted.

This little trick works like a charm on any light colored ribbon.  Give it a try!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of today’s tip.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Christmas With Your Stampin’ Blends

17-NOV-Stampin-Blends-MarkersStampin’ Blends are the perfect medium to use when coloring all those images for your Christmas projects.  There are so many colors to choose from and they color images beautifully.  There are six new colors of Stampin’ Blends in the Holiday Catalog and two of them are perfect for Christmas!  You’ll find Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends in the Festive Farmhouse Suite section of the Holiday Catalog on page 14.

2018_HOLIDAY_P15_DFive out of the six stamp sets in the Festive Farmhouse section of the Holiday Catalog can be colored.  So, if you like to color this is the section for you!

Do you need some tips on how to use the Stampin’ Blends?  Check out this video by Stampin’ Up!.  It’s really helpful.

If you’re ready to get started with Stampin’ Blends or just want to add to your collection you can find the set of colors in the Annual Catalog on page 205 and the new sets in the Holiday Catalog are on pages 14, 43 and 49.

Have fun coloring!  Have a great day, take care and Happy Stamping!

It’s Not Just for Christmas

Festive Farmhouse DPThe Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper (#147820 $11) isn’t just for Christmas.  Yes, the main colors in the papers are Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow, but I think it’s still versatile enough to be used for other occasions.  It’s got my choice as favorite product from this suite.

I love Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers.  Behind ribbon & trim it’s one of the first things I check out when new catalogs come out.  The designs and color combinations can really inspire my card making.

865a8a0a6e85b4261fa24615b9c1b5b1Here’s a non-Christmas project that I found on Pinterest that uses this designer paper.  The Mossy Meadow stripe definitely works well for Fall.  Joyce used the new Baker’s Boxes (#147899 $7) for her project.  Perfect for some tasty Fall treats.

What non-Christmas projects would you make with this fun designer paper?  I’d love to see your designs!  Check in later this week to see what I can come up with.  🙂

Don’t forget about this month’s Hostess Code Special when you’re putting your order together.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Out of My Comfort Zone

I’m taking this online class with Stampin’ Up! to help me advance to the next title.  Each week we’re given some challenges to accomplish.  This past week the challenge was to create a short “commercial” on the benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I was pretty nervous about this challenge because I haven’t really ever made a video and I hate the way I look/sound on camera.
Last week was pretty busy with Stamp Camp prep and the actual event so I didn’t want to even attempt a Facebook Live video or even trying to do the video on my own.  Luckily my downline and friend Janet Muse came to my rescue and recorded the video for me.  Thank you Janet!
Actually the hardest part was figuring out what I wanted to say and how to do it quickly.  Here is what we came up with.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Sponges, Sponge Daubers & Ink Pads

sponge&inkSponges, Sponge Daubers & Ink Pads are going to be your new best friends with today’s tips.

These items are the perfect way to add color to Painted Harvest.0918any project and anything.  You may have used the sponge and/or sponge dauber to brush a little ink on the edges of your cardstock to add a little color but have you ever used them to change the color or your ribbon or trim?

Do you recognize my favorite product from the Country Lane Suite?  Yep, that’s the 3/16″ Braided Trim that you see tied in a little bitty bow on this card.  I used my Sponge Dauber and the Early Espresso ink pad to alter the color.

I laid the trim on a piece of paper, inked up my Sponge Dauber and then rubbed it across the trim.  I colored both sides of the trim especially since I knew I was going to tie it in a bow.  I’ve done this technique before with other ribbons/trims and have actually place the ribbon/trim on the ink pad.  I hold place the sponge dauber on the trim kind of holding it in place firmly and then pull on the ribbon which transfer the ink from the pad to the trim.  You should give both methods a try to decide which one works better for you.  Coloring the ribbon/trim like this works best on light, neutral ribbon/trim like white, vanilla or the linen color of this Braided Trim.

How are you liking the Country Lane Suite?  Leave me a comment and let me know!  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Country Home and My Favorite….

070df58d046e57eb29443fec0b889e24I know, you can hardly wait to find out what my favorite product is from the County Lane Suite.  Is it a stamp set?  The bundle?  No!  Once again it’s the ribbon(trim)!  I can’t seem to get enough of ribbon and trim.  It’s always the first thing I check out in a new catalog.

Thank you Mary Deatherage for featuring my favorite product from this suite on your card!  I love that Mary doubled the trim for double the impact!

braided trimI really like the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim.  It’s the perfect accessory for any card and especially for fall cards although I’m sure I’ll be able to find other uses for it.

Country Lane Suite

2018_HOLIDAY_P42There are so many fabulous products in Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog that I’m having a hard time figuring out what to highlight for you.  Since last week was Halloween I decided to move on to Fall and Thanksgiving.  The Country Lane Suite, which you can find on pages 42-47 in the Holiday Catalog, is the perfect fit for this time of year.

Fall is the time of warm colors, changing leaves and being thankful.  This suite covers all that with:

  • 1 bundle
  • 5 single stamp sets
  • 1 Package of Designer Series Paper
  • 1 Roll of trim
  • 1 Package of Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • 2 Packages of fun Embellishments
  • 1 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • 2 New Colors of Stampin’ Blends

Wow!  That’s a lot of stuff and the best part is that these items are pretty versatile.  Two of the stamp sets actually cover a variety of holidays.

Country Home.0918Here’s a card that I made using some of the products in this suite.  It definitely says “Fall”.

I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the image and my all-time favorite product in the Annual Catalog, the Subtle Embossing Folder.

There is so much about this suite to share with you.  Be sure to check back during the week for more samples, ideas and inspiration.

Now go check out this suite in the Holiday Catalog and let me know what your favorite product in this suite is.  Leave me a comment.  I’d love to know.  I’ll share my favorite product from the suite with you tomorrow.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day!  Do you have any crafting planned for the day?  I definitely do!  I don’t have an event planned but I will definitely be cutting cardstock, making cards and planning for my upcoming events.  Hopefully I will mostly be making cards!  That’s the fun part.  🙂

Healing Hugs.0718Since I didn’t have an event planned for today with awesome projects to share with you I wanted to share one of my favorite cards that I designed over the summer.

I used the Healing Hugs stamp set and the gorgeous Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper on the card.  Aren’t the stamped images realistic?  This stamp set is one of Stampin’ Up!’s new types of stamps called DistINKtive.  Amazing, isn’t it?  They actually start the stamp making process with a photograph.

I stamped the leaves on the Whisper White cardstock and then on a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the flower and cut it out before added over the leaves.  I thought it gave it a slightly 3-D look.

So what are you making today for World Card Making Day?  I’d love to see your creations.  Email a photo of your creation at cindy@stampbystampcreation.com.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Not just for Halloween!

Happy Birthday Thinlit.1018The other day I mentioned that my favorite product from the Toil & Trouble Suite in the Holiday Catalog is the Black 3/8″ Organdy Glittered Ribbon.  I also mentioned that later in the week I would share a non-Halloween project with you using this fun ribbon.  Well here it is.  A VERY easy birthday card!

I used the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper as the background.  It may be hard to tell from the photo but the gold dots on the paper are gold foil. Since the gold dots were shiny and the ribbon is sparkly I decided to go with the Black Foil Sheets (not just for Halloween!) for the “Happy Birthday” and the layer behind the designer paper.  Fun and simple!

Don’t these products coordinate perfectly?  Have you added the glittery ribbon and the Black Foil Sheets to your order for this week?  Halloween is coming soon so if you want to make some projects for this holiday you should probably order them SOON!

Yesterday I shared with you the tip of the week but as I was making this card I came up with a couple more little tips for you…

I cut out the “Happy Birthday” from a piece of Black Foil Sheet and I also used a piece for the layer behind the designer paper.  If you like to conserve things, that’s a lot of foil sheets to use.  What you can do though is simply die-cut the “Happy Birthday” from the center of the piece of foil that you’re using as your layer.  The designer paper will cover the die-cut image and no one will know!  🙂

My second little tip has to do with die-cutting the Black Foil Sheet (or any color foil sheet).  When I die cut the “Happy Birthday” I found that all of the little dots in the die made little impressions in my die-cut image.  What I did then was to place the “Happy Birthday” a piece of cardstock and run it through the Big Shot again with clean and NEW clear cutting pad.  This kind of flattened the dot impressions.  Don’t use an old beat up cutting pad because all of those grooves and scratches will show up on your foil sheet.

Get that Halloween order together and get it placed!  You can place it directly in my online store or contact me.  If you order online don’t forget to use the October Hostess Code and don’t forget that online orders over $75 earn a free gift from me!  One more thing not forget…..Stampin’ Up!’s World Card Making Day Sale!  Only a few more days to take advantage of it.  See…there are quite a few things to add to that order!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
