I love to play games.  Card games, word games, board games….ask me to play a game with you and I’m pretty sure my answer will be yes.  So when I saw that Patty Bennett was offering a Tic Tac Toe game for her customers to win prizes I wanted to play too.

Thank You!  I have returned from my AMAZING trip to Thailand thanks to all of you and to Stampin’ Up!.  It was definitely a trip of a lifetime.  Here are just a few of my favorite pictures.  They are in no particular order but they’ll give you of feel for all of the things we experienced.  Enjoy!

This first picture is of the tour group we were with the first couple of days we were in Thailand.  We all got to know each other pretty well and we hung out with most of them the rest of time we were in Thailand.   Meeting them all was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

The resort we stayed at for most of the trip faced west.  We only experienced a sunset on the first evening.  The rest of time we were too busy hanging out with our new friends!  🙂

We spent a couple of days touring beaches and different places on the water.  These rocky little islands were everywhere.  It was amazing.

Woo Hoo!  Look what showed up on my door step at 7 pm last night!  I didn’t even know UPS delivered on Saturday!  My lucky day!   Can I get another Woo Hoo?!!!

I wasn’t expecting this until Monday and UPS doesn’t usually arrive in my neighborhood until late afternoon so I am really excited!

Can you see some fun goodies in the box?  Look at all those rolls of ribbon!  I can’t wait to check them all out.  I told you that the ribbons were always the first things that I order from a new catalog!

I’m sure you noticed the stamp set in the middle of the box.  That’s the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.  It’s the very first stamp set out of the new catalog that I absolutely had to have!

Once I dig into the box I’m going to have a hard time deciding what to do first.  You’re wondering why I haven’t dug into yet…..I figured I’d save it for after church today when I have the whole day ahead of me.  I didn’t want to stay up all night last night playing….a girl needs her beauty rest (especially at my age!).

Did you miss me?  I sure hope so!  It was time to head up to the family cabin in Canada, just north of International Falls, MN and get it ready for summer.  We got a lot of work done the week we were there but it sure is good to be home.  We made the drive in 2 days each way and that was more than enough for me!  I did get a little crafting done in the car which I will be sharing with you soon.

The weather was cool, windy and cloudy most of the time.  We did have one gorgeous day and I was able to get out and take a few pictures.

This first picture was taken in the morning.  The lake was perfectly still which is rare as it’s a very big lake (Rainy Lake).  I loved the way the trees were reflected in the water.

The second picture was taken a sunset.  I was in the cabin and just happened to look out and see that the sun was going down and thought I’d try to see if I could get a picture.  I grabbed my phone and ran out just hoping to get a good picture.  I was pleasantly surprised!  Even when I took the picture I didn’t think it would really turn out but then I looked on my phone.  I caught it perfectly!

It’s been a busy time in the Russell household.  Graduation, out of town company, Mother’s Day, getting ready to leave town….yikes!  It’s all good though!

My parents came into town last Wednesday for my youngest son’s college graduation and were here through Saturday.  My oldest son and his wife flew into town on Thursday night and are actually here for over a week.  Graduation was really nice.  I took a lot of pictures of the ceremony but of course the pictures of him actually receiving his diploma didn’t turn out…..which is why they have the professional photographers on hand, right?    This picture is of my son Kyle and his best buddy Arik.  They both got their teaching degrees from Metropolitan State University in Denver.  Kyle is the tall one in the back.

Mother’s Day was especially nice as both of my boys were home.  My oldest son Jared and his wife Margot live in California so this is the first time in a number of years that they’ve been around on Mother’s Day.  We all went and saw the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”.  So much fun!

Now I need to think about packing for our trip.  My husband, son Kyle and I are heading up to the north woods of Canada to open the family cabin with my husbands parents.  Luckily I won’t have to worry about dressing up or even having coordinating outfits since there won’t be anyone around to see me!  Ha!  I do need to make sure I have the essentials though as there isn’t a Target store anywhere near!

Hello!  Sorry I’ve been away but it’s hard to post when you’re traveling and I can’t seem to get ahead of the game and schedule them before hand.  Oh, well….

I had a nice trip to MN.  Hanging out in downtown Minneapolis with my stamping peeps was great and I also got to visit with family.

If you’re not aware, the 2017 Retiring List is out.  I get kind of sad when the retiring list comes out because there’s always a chance that some of my favorite items will be on it!  You can check out a pdf of the list here or you can view the retiring products in my online store here.  However you view them just be sure to order the items you want soon.  Stamp sets are guaranteed to be available through May 22nd but everything else is only available while supplies last.

Seriously….I’m pretty sure it’s technically still winter here in Colorado but you’d never know it by the weather.  We have been having high temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s and there are low 80’s on the horizon!  Sheesh!

I’m not really complaining because who doesn’t like those temperatures…..but in March?  We’re suppose to be getting walloped with snow during March but we’ve hardly had any moisture at all.  It’s going to make for a long summer!

These poor little flowers from my front yard haven’t quite realized that it’s still the first part of March and that they really shouldn’t show their pretty little selves until April!

Since there’s nothing I can do about the weather or the fact that my flowers are blooming a tad early I guess I’ll just sit back, enjoy the warm temperatures and relax.

This is part of my SASsy Stampers and Friends group.  This picture was taken at our recent Stamp Camp which was held at the end of February.  We are all wearing our Mardi Gras crowns and beads since it was held just before Mardi Gras.  You can’t say that we don’t have fun!  🙂

You may be wondering why I’ve capitalized only the first three letters of SASsy?  That’s because those letters stand for Seriously Addicted to Stamping or as we say amongst ourselves:  Smart Ass Stampers.  Since I am very sassy and the others can be too we usually just go by Sassy Stampers & Friends.

Only four of the gals are actual members of team.  The other four constitute the “friends” part of the title.  These are gals who don’t have uplines at all or have uplines who aren’t very active.

We do get along well and have a lot of fun together.  I try to get the gang together a number of times during the year for a quick meeting and some stamping.  A number of us like to travel to Stampin’ Up! events too.  Janet, Jan and I are heading to Minneapolis next month and we’re probably heading to Salt Lake City in November to kick off Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary?  Would you like to join us in November?  (The April event is already full).  We’d love to bring you along and share in the fun.
