They’re Here!

The 2017 Occasions Catalog and the 2017 Sale-a-bration Brochure are here!  Woo Hoo!  New products!  I LOVE new products!  Have you checked them out?  Click on the link to the right and see what they’re all about!

If you’re on top of things and were trying to place an order this morning you may have had a small problem.  ALL of Stampin’ Up!’s systems were down.  Computer, phones, you name it.  The only way they could let us demonstrators know about it was through social media.  Yikes!

All is well now though so go ahead a place those orders!

hey-chick-1216As I’ve mentioned before, my favorite Sale-a-bration item is the Hey, Chick stamp set.  It’s TSC!  Too Stinkin’ Cute!  You can find it on page 17 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  This is a card I’ve previously posted and I can assure you that there will be more!

If you’ve already had a peek at the brochure have you picked out your favorite item?  I’d love to hear what your favorite its.  Leave a comment!

nailed-it-catalogOne of my favorite new items in the Occasions Catalog is the Nailed It stamp set and the COORDINATING Build It Framelits.  There are never enough products perfect the males in our lives.  Stay tuned for an adorable gift card holder that I made for Christmas with these products.

Do you have a favorite item in the Occasions Catalog?  Or maybe a favorite product suite?  Let me know!

The important questions is “Have you started your wish lists yet?”.  If not, get started!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Time is Running Out

Well, it’s the last day of 2016.  Are you sad to see it go or are you more than ready for the New Year?  I know that some people are more than ready for the new year.  They’ve had enough of 2016 and all it entailed.

Overall 2016 was pretty good to me.  I did lose a close friend to cancer but my family and I are all healthy and doing well.  I still love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and all it entails.  Best of all, I earned Stampin’ Up!’s Incentive Trip to Phuket Thailand next summer.  Woo Hoo!  Of course I couldn’t have done that without all of you so THANK YOU!

thailand

I’m hoping 2017 will be another good year both for my family and friends and for my business as well as for all of you.

Time may be running out for 2016 but there’s still a few more days to take advantage of Stampin’ Up’s Year-end Closeout deals.  There’s also only a few days left of the Holiday Catalog.  Look for the fabulous new Occasions Catalog on January 4th.

Have a great day!  Celebrate the end of 2016 safely and I’ll see you in the new year!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Happy Holidays!

christmas2016I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!  Our Christmas was good.  Too much food, more than enough gifts and great fellowship with family and friends!  This is a goofy picture of my boys and I.  The second picture is my baby kitty Tasha by the tree.  She really enjoyed her little catnip toys.  🙂

Did Santa bring you everything on your list?  It was a practical gift year for me.  Lots of things for the kitchen that needed replacing.  🙂

Now it’s time to start thinking about cleaning up from Christmas and packing for our trip to the MN Homeland to see family.

I should probably also start thinking about getting ready for the new Occasions Catalog christmas2016-1and SALE-A-BRATION!!  Woo Hoo!  I really wish I could have carved out more time to play with some of the new products from the publications.  Oh, well.  I’ll just have to do it when I return from the frigid Homeland.  Lucky for us it doesn’t look like the temperatures will be too low while we’re in town.

Are you ready for the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration?  Have you started making those wish lists?  You better get those lists made!  It all begins next week!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Lefse!

lefse1 lefse2What a fun day yesterday!  I learned how to make lefse!  For those of you who are not Scandinavian lefse is like a potato tortilla.  You spread butter on it and roll it up to eat.  Yum!  You can also sprinkle cinnamon sugar on it.

I’m pretty sure that I don’t have a drop of Scandinavian blood in me but growing up in Minnesota with all of those Scandinavian Lutherans I got to eat it and I love it!

Last year my friend Sallie brought me a few pieces after she made it with some gals from our church and this year she invited me to join her!  I was so excited!

Sallie is the fourth person from the left with the light colored hair.  She takes good care of me.  This morning she brought me a tin of Christmas cookies knowing that I haven’t begun my holiday baking yet!  Hey!  I have almost a week, right?!  🙂

Have a yummy day!  Take care and Happy Stamping (and holiday baking!)!

A Fun Weekend With Family

It was a busy and fun weekend.  Lots of visiting and site-seeing.  My cousin flew in this weekend to visit her daughter who lives here in Denver.  One of my sisters thought that sounded fun so she and her daughter flew in to visit me and we all hung out together.

I picked up my sister Lori and her daughter Allison from the airport late Friday afternoon.  We had a nice dinner before heading to a place called Upstairs Circus.  Have you ever been to those painting places where you paint the project and drink wine?  This is a similar concept except they have all sorts of craft projects you can make instead of just the painting.  It was really fun.  My sister made a beaded bracelet and my niece and I did string art projects where you hammer nails into a board in a pattern and then thread string around the nails to fill in the pattern.  (I’ll post a picture of my project tomorrow.)  I’d definitely go back again.  🙂

botanicgardensSaturday was a busy day.  We started at the Denver Botanic Gardens.  I’m going to admit that the middle of November isn’t exactly the best time to visit a garden but it’s been so warm there were still some flowers blooming.  It was a free day there and there was a craft fair going on so we did enjoy ourselves.  In the picture, starting at the left you have my sister Lori, myself, my cousin’s daughter Julie, my cousin Sally and my niece Allison.

starwarsAfter the gardens and craft fair we had a nice little lunch and then headed to the Denver Art Museum.  We had tickets to see the exhibit “Star Wars and the Power of Costume”.  The exhibit was fabulous….especially for those of us who love Star Wars and SciFi.  You used headphones while taking the tour so not only did you see the costumes, you heard the stories behind them.  It was quite interesting.

We spent a lovely afternoon on Sunday at a downtown winery doing a little wine tasting and just visiting.  Wild Women Winery.  We really enjoyed ourselves and the gals helping us were great.  That’s another thing I’d definitely do again.

wildwomenwineIt was a wonderful weekend getting a little culture and visiting together.  It’s great to have visitors.  Of course now I need to get ready for the two workshops I have this week and I hear that Thanksgiving is next week so I should definitely start thinking about that!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Stitched from the Heart

shareableimage_1_na

Not only are stitches a classic trend, they illustrate the quality, precision, and extra care taken when creating a piece. When you give a stitched gift it shows just how much you value that relationship. Starting November 1, you can purchase Stitched Shapes Framelits ahead of their official release in the 2017-2018 annual catalog! With Stitched Shapes Framelits you can make thoughtful paper stitches in seconds, turning any project into one that is stitched from the heart. And during the month of November, coordinating stamp sets are 25% off! But don’t worry…Stitched Shapes Framelits will still be available for purchase after November 30.

You can see the list of stamp sets on sale below or check them out here in my online store.  I can’t wait to order mine?  How about you?

You’re the Best!

thailandThank You!  Thank You!  Thank You!  You…my friends, customers, blog followers, fellow demonstrators and supporters are THE BEST!

Because of all of you and your support of my business I’ve earned Stampin’ Up!’s  incentive trip to Phuket Thailand!  Woo Hoo!  I am SO excited!  The trip isn’t until next July but I’m really looking forward to it.  This is the first “big trip” that I’ve earned.  Stampin’ Up! used to have “Getaway” trips which were a little easier to earn.  I was able to go to San Diego and Newport Beach on those but this is the first time I’ve earned the major incentive trip.  Have I mentioned how excited I am?

Thank you again for all of your support!  You’re the best!

Hugs to all!

Cindy

Back Again!

mnfair2016I know!  I need to stop traveling so I can post to my blog more.  Ha!  That’s not going to happen but I will try to be more diligent about posting.

We just returned from another trip to the MN Homeland.  I was able to visit the Minnesota State Fair with my family one day (first picture) and over the Labor Day Weekend my sisters and I hosted a party to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday.  Her birthday really isn’t memomuntil November but it’s so much easier for people to travel in September in that part of the country.  The second picture is of me with my mom.

The fun wasn’t over yet.  The day after the party my husband, son and daughter-in-law headed up to Canada to my husband’s family cabin for about 5 days of fun, fishing and relaxation.  We caught plenty of fish, played games and were actually able to watch our Denver Broncos on Thursday Night beat the Carolina Panthers!  Woo Hoo!

markfish16The fishing was really good.  We all caught plenty and everyone caught some nice big ones that were fun to reel in.  My husband caught the biggest fish of the week.  A beautiful walleye.  We didn’t have time to weigh or measure it because we wanted to get it back in the water right after the photo-op.

Now it’s time to get back to stamping.  Woo Hoo!

Take care and Happy Stamping!

It Was a Good Day!

20160720_160027Yes, it was a good day!  My birthday was wonderful even if I did have to turn a year older.  Ha!

I started the day out with breakfast with a friend.  Yummy!  I love breakfasts!  I just kind of relaxed and played a little in my craft room for most of the day.  Then I went out to dinner with my family and then the best part of the day….we went and saw the new Star Trek Beyond!  Woo Hoo!  The perfect ending to a wonderful day!

My lovely customer Sue made me this fun birthday banner!  Isn’t it great?!  It’s definitely something to hang on to and bring out for any birthday celebration.  Thanks Sue!

Well, tomorrow is Stamp Camp so I have a lot of work to get done today in prep for the big day.  No more parties or celebrating.  Definitely no more big meals!  Ha!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Cindy’s Flamingo Bingo Birthday Bash!

20160720_192958 (2)Happy Birthday to Me!  🙂

I’m not shy about it.  It’s my birthday today and I love to celebrate!  As I mentioned in my last post I’m usually in Salt Lake City celebrating at Stampin’ Up!’s Convention but not this year.  🙁

At the SU event in April we were challenged to hold a new event each month for the next 6 months.  I chose to hold a bingo event!  I’ve heard of playing Stampin’ Up! Bingo before but wasn’t sure how it was done until I learned more from fellow demonstrators online.   One of them came up with the Flamingo Bingo theme and I knew I had to follow since I LOVE Flamingos!  And that’s how Cindy’s Flamingo Bingo Birthday 20160720_152618 (2)Bash came to be!  #6monthstampingoals

We had a lot of fun!  We played six rounds of Bingo with prizes, had door prizes, welcome gifts, snacks, wine, cupcakes and of course made a couple of cards.  The fee for the evening covered all of the door prizes and snacks.

I found a website that made up a Bingo card with any words in it that I wanted.  It was great!  I used my favorite new SU products since it was my birthday party!  🙂

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and of 20160720_152508 (2)course loved winning prizes!  If I do it again I’ll have to change a few things.  I didn’t have a plan for if two people had Bingo at the same time.  I also hadn’t decided whether or not a person could win more than once.  This was a fun event.  Maybe I’ll have a Bingo Birthday Bash every year!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
