Painted Seasons Fun Fold

I love fun folds!  They are so fun and make your cards WOW!  I also love the Painted Seasons Bundle that you can earn as a Level 2 Sale-a-bration item!  Pair them together and you have a gorgeous, fun card!

Painted Seasons.1.0319That’s what I did for today’s card.  I also used a color combination that I would never have chosen on my own.  I love that Stampin’ Up! does that for me with their designer series paper.  Poppy Parade isn’t my favorite color but it sure makes this card pop!  I love it paired with the Early Espresso and the Call Me Clover.  This card is so bright and cheerful.  It makes me smile!

Don’t you love the look of Stampin’ Up!’s new DistINKtive stamps?  They are so realistic looking.  I used my new Four Seasons Framelits that COORDINATE perfectly with the Painted Seasons stamp set to die cut the flower and leaves.  These fun dies are only available during the month of March so don’t miss out.  Other framelits in the Sale-a-bration Coordination campaign are already sold Painted Seasons.2.0319out.  You can no longer get the framelits that coordinate with So Hoppy Together or Hello Cupcake.  🙁

This fun fold is pretty easy to make.  You start by shortening your card front by 1″.  To make your little flap that goes across the front you add about 1/2″ to the size of flap you want.  This will tuck behind the piece you adhere to the inside of your card.  Decorate your flap and your card is complete!

I found out the hard way that when you are decorating the flap of your card you want to make sure and only put adhesive/dimensionals on the part of the image that will actually attach to the flap.  The first time I made this card I had a few too many dimensionals on it and my flower not only stuck to the flap but it also stuck to the designer paper on the front of the card!  Sheesh!  After 15 years of making cards you’d think I’d have this figured out…oh, well….live and learn!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Painted Seasons Paper

Painted Seasons.tenaOn Saturday we all had a good time at our Shoebox Swap.  Most of us tried to challenge ourselves in some way when designing our cards.  Tena used the new Sale-a-bration paper, Painted Seasons, on her card and went with the challenge of using colors together that she normally wouldn’t use.  She was able to take the colors right from the gorgeous designer paper.

The Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper is a Level 2 Sale-a-bration item.  You can only get it in a bundle with the coordinating stamp set.  In the paper pack you get 3 sheets each of four different two-sided designs.  One side of the paper is nature themed while the other side is a graphic design.  Very lovely paper.

The Painted Seasons stamp set is lovely too.  It includes 7 stamps that COORDINATE perfectly with the paper.  Speaking of COORDINATION…..did you know that during the month of March you can purchase a set of framelits the die cut the images from the Painted Seasons stamp set?  How great is that?  A definite must have!

Starting on Friday, March 1st, Sale-a-bration Coordination begins!  Stampin’ Up! is coming out with four sets of framelits that coordinate with four of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets as well as a punch (which you can see that Tena used on her card) and a stamp set!  These special products are only available in March and end on March 31st when Sale-a-bration ends. How fun is that?!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
