Patterned Party Birthday Card

Patterned Party.0213This is one of the cards that I made in my card-making frenzy last week.  Probably one of my favorites.  It’s clean, simple and cute!  Ok…maybe I better come up with a better word than cute since it can definitely be a guy card.  In fact we gave it to our friend Bill last night!

I also made the card in Raspberry Ripple as you can see from the inside portion of the card.  The inside of this card was really Midnight Muse.  It’s hard to take a picture of both the inside and outside of the card at the same time!  I think the Chevron background really makes this card.  I know I’ll be using it a lot more often.  It took me awhile to take it out of the package but it’s going to be used a lot from now on!  🙂

The “Celebrate” is from the the “Best of Birthdays” stamp set.  Have you seen this month’s “Best of…” stamp set yet?  It’s “Best of Flowers” and the fun Upsy Daisy daisies are back!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for a fun announcement about what will be happening on my blog, facebook page and mailing list this month!  If you haven’t signed up for my mailing list (you can do it right on this page at the left) or liked me on Facebook (www.facebook.com/stampbystamp) you’ll want to.  There will exclusive content on each platform so don’t miss out!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Got Green?

Got treats.0313When March arrives most of us think GREEN!  St. Patrick’s Day is on it’s way.  We don’t celebrate this holiday much but it’s a good holiday to make a card for!  Ha!  This is a quick and simple card I made using the “Got Treats” stamp set.  Very cute stamp set, very under-used.  It was fun to be able to pull it out!

The stamp actually has the words “Got Green?” under the shamrock but I just used my marker to ink the shamrock and put the “Got Green?” on the inside of my card.

Have you signed up for my e-mail list yet?  I sent out my March newsletter yesterday and shared another cute St. Patrick’s Day card.  Just fill out the box at the left.  Not only will you receive my e-mails, you’ll receive a FREE tutorial just for signing up!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

This first picture is everything you’ll receive in your Starter Kit.  It doesn’t matter when you sign up or what month it is, this is the first kit you will always receive.  All of your kits will contain everything that you will need to make the project(s) except for adhesive.  You will only receive an acrylic block in your first (starter) kit.  You will be able to use it in all future kits.

Check out the other pictures I’ve posted.  You can see how I changed up the project a little.  I didn’t use any other supplies but just changed things around a little.  Most of the elements on the cards are from the sheet of self-adhesive die-cuts.  They make creating these cards a snap!

You Are Loved Fancy Fold Card

You are Loved.1.0113It’s February 1st!  Have you started making your valentines yet?  Lucky for me we made them in classes last week!  This card is made using the “You Are Loved” stamp set.  (Aren’t you glad I didn’t use “Hearts a Flutter” again!)  “You Are Loved”  first made it’s debut in the 2011 Holiday Catalog and can now be found in the current regular catalog.

Fancy folds are a great way to make your cards…well, fancy!  🙂  Ha!  This is a Z-fold card and is pretty easy to make.  Start with a piece of card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″.  Score along the long edge at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  Fold the card in half at the 5 1/2″ score mark.  Now fold back the small portion on the front at the 2 3/4″ score mark.  Check out the second picture if you’re having trouble figuring out what I’m talking about.  That’s it for your fancy fold.  Decorate to away and you will have a beautiful card!

Another Simple Hearts A Flutter

Hearts A Flutter.0113
Stamp Sets: Hearts A Flutter, Pennant Parade
Card Stock: Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Very Vanilla
Specialty Paper: Primrose Petals Core-dinations, More Amore Designer Paper
Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tools: Big Shot, Hearts A Flutter Framelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch

Can you see why this Hearts A Flutter stamp set was one of the first ones I purchased?  It’s fun, easy to use and it has coordinating Framelits that you can purchase!  It makes cutting out those hearts and banners SO much easier!  Woo Hoo!

I really like this color combination of Pool Party and Primrose Petals, don’t you?  So pretty!  (and it’s not just because one of the colors is PINK!) The designer paper is from the More Amore Package.  I love the way everything coordinates!  Did you notice that I didn’t even have ribbon on this card?  What’s with that?!

I think I got a lot done yesterday.  I finally got my class schedule nailed down for the next few months and designed all my cards for the next class.  Whew!  Now I just have to order supplies and start cutting!  😀

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Oh, Whale! Valentine

Oh, Whale.0113I  just LOVE this card!  It’s got the adorable little sparkly whale on it and it’s PINK!  And not just any PINK….it’s my favorite PINK….Melon Mambo!  Woo Hoo!  It’s almost the perfect card!  🙂

As I’ve mentioned a time or two…I can’t get enough of this adorable little whale!  He’s especially cute when you make him sparkly.  I know you can’t see him sparkle in this picture, but he does.  I mixed the Frost White Shimmer Paint with 90% Rubbing Alcohol in one of the spritzers and spritzed away!

Isn’t the designer paper cute?  It’s from the new Sunshine and Sprinkles pack in the Spring Catalog.  What a great catalog!  Don’t you just LOVE it!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Jammie twins with Shannon West from the Stampin’ Up! home office.

Hello!  I’m back from Leadership, exhausted but motivated!  😀  I LOVE going to these Stampin’ Up! events.  I get to meet new friends, hang out with old friends and learn all sorts of new ideas to share with you!  Before I left I told you that I’d try to post at least a few times while I was away.  Unfortunately I had problems with the internet at the hotel so I’ll just have to share with you now!

On  Thursday night I got to attend my very first Manager’s Reception.  Those demonstrators with the title of Manager or above were invited to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!  It was awesome!  We got to drink Butter Beer, go on the rides and check out some of the little shops.  The 3D ride is amazing!  The evening went by too fast!

The conference itself started on Friday.  We attended general sessions and classes where we learn how the company is doing, learn some things that are coming up (new products, etc.) and watch fabulous stamping demonstrations.  The best part is all of the stamping demonstrations!  Friday night there was a pajama party where we got to see even more demonstrations!  Too fun!  Saturday was the last day doing many of the same things we did on Friday.

It’s always sad to leave your friends and the excitement of the conference but it’s good to be home.  I just wish I had about three weeks with nothing to do but stamp and try all of the new things I  just learned!  😀  Maybe you can join my next year!  …..or how about convention in July?!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas……

image‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house…..the crafts were finally done!  Mom and I made about 20 of these cute little guys for dinner tonight.  I’m sure all the young men in the family will just love them!  🙂

Aren’t these little guys adorable?  My mom asked me if I came up with the idea and I just had to laugh!  Ha!  Why would I come up with my own idea if I can just copy someone else?  Besides I don’t see all the different uses for a punch like some creative people.  Who sees shoes in a butterfly punch?  More power to them!  I’m just grateful that they share their brilliant ideas.

If you want to make these cute little guys for next Christmas I’ll let you know that I had to order the red Tic Tacs online.  Now I really need to go wrap presents since we open gifts tonight at my mom’s.

I wish you all a blessed and safe Christmas!
