Bright Abstract Impressions

Abstract Impressions.swapIt’s a dreary sort of day and we may get some snow later so I was thinking that we definitely need a bright and cheerful card today!

This swap card I received from Amy Combs definitely fits the bill!  What a great color combination!  Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.   Once again I can appreciate how people can put colors together that I don’t think of!  Doesn’t this card just make you smile?!

Amy used a stamp set that was new to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog called Abstract Impressions.  It has some fun floral images as well as some some nice sentiments.

For the background Amy used the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#147923 $7.50) which carried over from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  You can see a full list of all the items that carried over from the Holiday Catalog here.

I hope this card makes you smile and think Spring!  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

My Favorite!

Abstract Impressions.0618I think I’ve found my favorite item in the new Annual Catalog!  I placed my order on Monday and I’m so glad I discovered this item before sending it in.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be using this item on ALL of my cards!  Ha!  That might get a little boring but I know I will be using it a lot!

What is it you ask?  Is it one of the colors of paper?  Is it the stamp set?  Is it the ribbon?  No. No. And No!  🙂

My favorite item (at least for now) in the new catalog is the Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This folder just gives your cardstock a little oomph.  Years ago, Stampin’ Up! had textured cardstock  and I loved it.  I’ve really missed having that little bit of texture on my cardstock.  Well, now I can make my own textured cardstock with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

What do you think?  Will you be purchasing the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I sure am glad I did!

Other than my favorite, the Subtle Embossing Folder, I did use a number of other new products on this card.  The stamp set is Abstract Impressions and this may be my second favorite item in the catalog or at least it’s in the top 5.  I used two brand new colors on the card:  Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.  The ribbon is also new and is the Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon.  Isn’t it fun?

I designed this card for my New Catalog Launch Open House next week.  It’s one of the two cards my guests will be able to make.  If you’ll be in the Denver area on Thursday July 14th from 9:30 am – 11:30 am or from 6: 30 pm to 8:30 pm stop on by!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
