On Saturday, my group of SASsy Stampers & Friends held our summer stamp camp. This is an all day event we hold for our customers. Sometimes the prepping for the event can seem a little overwhelming but then you get there and your customers say something like “We absolutely LOVE this event. We have so much fun!”. Well, that definitely makes the work worth it.
Eight of us design cards and host a table. The guests move from table to table at their own pace to complete the eight different projects with our direction. We also have display boards, a treat bag, a couple of raffle baskets for them to hopefully win and a yummy lunch. It’s funny, we always get compliments on the lunches. This camp we all made different salads. In the past we’ve had a baked potato bar, soups and pastas.
This week and into the beginning of next week I’ll be sharing our projects with you. I think you’re going to enjoy them. It always works out well because our styles are so different so we end up with a nice variety of projects.
Last week I shared a project with you featuring the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle. This is such a popular bundle in the catalog that our Sassy Stamper Friend, Laura K., had someone make us cupcakes with a magnolia on them. Amazing!
Wow! They were yummy too! I wish I had the patience and the talent to do this kind of work! 😀
We like to give out an afternoon treat to our guests too. My friend Jan, the one in the center of the photo with the white pants, loves to design these treats along with the treat bag we give out with lots of fun little treat holders in them. Since our event was so close to the 4th of July, Jan went with a patriotic theme for our treats.
Isn’t this fun?! Jan likes to use the little Starbuck’s bottles with caramel corn for our afternoon treats. She comes up with some fun designs for them. She used a lot of retired products on this bottle but there are also some fun new products like the die cut candles and the “happy”.
Jan designs all of these fun projects and then we get together at her home for a stamp camp work day. We were a little short-handed this time but we still got it all done. Jan has everything organized for us with most everything ready to put together with just a little bit of die cutting and punching left to do before assembly. She always treats us to yummy lunch/brunch. 😀
Our next camp is on October 26th and will be featuring items from the Holiday Catalog. Let me know if you’ll be in the Denver area that day and would like to attend! We always have a great time! Have a great day! Take care and Happy Stamping!
