A Halloween Hello

012Boo!  How can you be scared of this adorable little skeleton guy?  The Halloween Hello stamp set is way too cute!  My favorite images are probably this little guy and the stinkin’ cute bat.  I’m going to need to design a card now just for the bat!  Ha!

Layers, a little designer paper (Witches’ Brew), a little ribbon and a popped up little skeleton.  That’s it!  Too stinkin’ cute!  Halloween images are so much fun!  What’s your favorite Halloween set from the Holiday Catalog?

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

A Hexagon Halloween!

018I’ve been having an awful lot of fun making Halloween cards lately!  This one was especially fun although it was like working a puzzle trying to figure out where to place all of the different pieces.

I punched out a bunch of hexagons from the Witches Brew Designer Paper.  Then I stamped a few images from the Halloween Hello stamp set and punched them out with the hexagon punch.  I pieced my puzzle on Basic Black card stock and then layered it on Pumpkin Pie card stock.  The end!  Ha!  It is rather busy isn’t it?  But fun!

Simple Saturday: Another Wedding Card

011OK…I got carried away making simple cards with the Best of Brides and Babies stamp set.  It just worked!  😀

I had originally stamped the image directly on the notecard but it was a little too sparse so I layered the image and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also added a little bit of color with some markers.

How are you liking Simple Saturday?  Leave a comment and let me know!  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Halloween Witch Hats

022It’s hard thinking about Halloween when the temperature is in the mid 90’s….especially having grown up in Minnesota where there’s been a blizzard or two on that date!

I used the fun Best of Halloween stamp set on this card.   Have you seen all of the cute images in this set?  They’re pretty fun.  I saw this cute card online and had to copy it.  Naturally, I had to add a couple of layers since a card isn’t really complete without at least 3 or four of them!  Ha!  Have you started thinking about Halloween yet?

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Halloween Happiness!

016Yes, I know….Halloween is over two months away but it’s never too early to start getting ready is it?  I actually made this card last month in July!  I made it for a swap I hosted.  Isn’t it cute?

I used the new stamp Halloween Happiness.  This was the first item from the Holiday Catalog that I just had to have!  Too stinkin’ cute!

I colored the stems and the sentiment with my markers and stamped them on the small piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I inked the whole image in Pumpkin Pie ink, stamped it on a piece of scrap paper, cut it out and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  That’s it!  I ran the background piece through the Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder, added all my layers and I was done!  A cute and fun Halloween card.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Technique Tuesday: Rolled Ribbon Flower

050It’s Technique Tuesday and I have a fun and easy technique for you.  Check out the flower on the card.  Beautiful, isn’t it?

I started by punching four flowers from vellum card stock with the Pansy Punch and adhering them together with Mini Glue Dots.  Then I took a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8″ Ruffled Stretch Trim about 10″ long.  I stuck a Mini Glue Dot on one end and just started rolling.  When I came to the end of the 10″ I stuck on another Mini Glue Dot to hold it together.  I stuck some more Mini Glue Dots on one of the flat sides and stuck it to my punched flower.  Smoosh it a little and you have a gorgeous rolled ribbon flower!

The sentiment is from the new A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and it’s die cut with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits.  Fun, simple and beautiful all in one!

Secret Garden Gingham Garden

045I can’t seem to get enough of this Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper.  It just makes me happy.  Or if you’re a Duck Dynasty fan like I am….”Happy, Happy, Happy”.  Love that show!

I digress…

This designer paper works so well with the Flower Shop stamp set and the Pansy Punch but it works equally well with the Secret Garden stamp set and it’s coordinating Framelits!  I was excited to finally get to use my Really Good Greetings stamp set.  I love this little saying because you know (especially if you’ve ever been to convention with me) that it really is all about me.  Ha!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Wetlands

036This is one of those sets I really didn’t need from the new catalog.  Who needs a goose?  Yeah, these little shore birds are kind of cute but did I really need the stamp set?……

You got it….it turns out I did.  I fell in love with it after seeing so many wonderful samples using it.  I LOVE this card.  So simple yet gorgeous!  I stamped the shore birds on a small piece of water color paper with Black StazOn ink.  Then I simply brushed a little bit of Baked Brown Sugar and Soft Sky over the stamped image.  Add some layers and the sentiment and it’s done….but oh, so pretty!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Baby Card

006Yep, Best of Brides and Babies again for Simple Saturday but this week you get a baby card!

Yep again….I used the Notecards and Envelopes….I just can’t help myself!

I just stamped the image in Black StazOn ink and colored the letters with the Soft Sky marker and the heart with the Pink Pirouette marker.  The little hearts along the bottom are from the Create A Cupcake stamp set.  To cute!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Washi Tape Wednesday: Tag It!

039Tag It  is this year’s Ronald McDonald stamp set.  That means that for every one of these stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! sells they donate $3 to Ronald McDonald charities!  Wow!  Buy a cute stamp set and donate to a worthy cause!

The little stethoscope image is the one from Tag It.  The other images are all from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  Aren’t they fun?

Are you wondering where the washi tape is since it’s Washi Tape Wednesday?  Ha!  The pink strip is a piece of Washi Tape from the Gingham Garden Washi Tape package.  The Coastal Cabana striped strip is actually an image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set that looks like Washi Tape!  Pretty sneaky!  🙂

One of the fun parts of the Tag It stamp set (other than the images themselves!) is that it coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits!  Woo Hoo!  I love things that coordinate!  Don’t you?  I’ve already sent this card to my friend Sonja who broke her foot while I was at convention.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Fishin’ Around

035Stinkin’ cute!  Yep!  That’s what the Fishin’ Around stamp is….especially when you make it into a little fish bowl with real water using a Treat Cup!

I CASEd this idea right from Stampin’ Up!  Check out the adorable card on page 58 of the catalog.

To make this card I first stamped the fish bowl on water color paper with Black StazOn ink and then colored it with my ink pads and aquapainter.  Next I peeled the adhesive backing from the rim of  the treat cup, filled it with water and then stuck a piece of Window Sheet to Treat Cup.  Then I centered the filled Treat Cup over the stamped, colored image and adhered them together.  After stamping the fish bowl on the Whisper White card stock I punched out the center of it using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.  Those are the little tips for making this type of card.  Are you going to make one?  It’s pretty darn cute!  😀

CELEBRATE Banner

002How cute is this?  I had SO much fun making it!  This is Stampin’ Up!’s new Build a Banner Kit (pg. 31 in the holiday catalog).  I saw these banners demonstrated at convention and fell in love.  And that was even before I made my own!

Click on the picture on you’ll get a much better photograph.  You’ll be able to see the banner closer up.  Each little banner portion is made from canvas.  I made the designs and letters on them using the Build a Banner templates, ink pads and my sponge daubers.  The kit comes with spritzers that you can fill with ink refill and alcohol to color your designs but I liked using the ink pads and sponge daubers better.  I thought it gave me a cleaner look.  The kit actually comes with jute twine to string the banner on but I wanted to try it with ribbon.  I really like how fun the ribbon looks….especially with the little bows I tied on some of the letters!

You can purchase a Halloween accessory kit and a Christmas accessory kit as well as extra canvas pieces and jute.  Of course I had to order these two kits and I can’t wait to play with them!  I’ll be sure to share them when I get them done!

Simple Saturday: Wedding Card

007It’s another Simple Saturday and I have another card made with the Notecards and Envelopes.  I’ve said it before, but they’re the perfect size of these simple cards!

Today I used “Best of Brides and Babies” to make this simple wedding card.  You can’t get much simpler can you?  To add a little pizzazz I used Silver Metallic Encore Ink (pg. 28 in the Holiday Catalog).  You can’t tell in the picture but it has a little shimmer to it.  Very fun!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Broncos: UNDEFINED!

Broncos Undefined.TLynchIs this not AWESOME?!!!  My friend and fellow demonstrator, Tena Lynch, carved this stamp with the Denver Broncos logo using Stampin’ Up!’s new Undefined carving tools.  Didn’t she do a fabulous job?

I first saw this on Pinterest and had to text Tena right away.  Of course, I then had to ask her if she’d make me a card!  😀  Those of you who’ve been reading my blog for awhile know that I’m a BIG football fan and I love my Broncos!

I’m going to have to get out my Undefined Stamp Carving Kit and carve something fun.  Have you thought of what you’d like to carve on your first stamp?  Give it a try!  It’s fun!  Tena admitted she was quite nervous before she started but decided it was quite fun and can’t wait to do another!  Check out the Undefined kit here.  Leave me a comment to let me know what you’re going to carve!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
