Back From Thailand!

Thank You!  I have returned from my AMAZING trip to Thailand thanks to all of you and to Stampin’ Up!.  It was definitely a trip of a lifetime.  Here are just a few of my favorite pictures.  They are in no particular order but they’ll give you of feel for all of the things we experienced.  z2OntJ122-dMqsfGGVzlR4axN7snKhao-LFABLvdbbwpX92IBEnjoy!

This first picture is of the tour group we were with the first couple of days we were in Thailand.  We all got to know each other pretty well and we hung out with most of them the rest of time we were in Thailand.   Meeting them all was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

This was from our first day in the mountains near Chiang Mai.

The resort was absolutely gorgeous! If you didn’t have a view of the beach you had view of the beautiful lagoon.

One of the many temples we toured.  This one was a newer one up in the Chiang Mai area called Wat Rong Khun.

We spent a couple of days touring beaches and different places on the water.  These rocky little islands were everywhere.  It was amazing.

I have to thank you all again for helping me earn this trip.  I am truly grateful to all of you.  Hugs to all!  Thanks!

Coffee Anyone?

Coffee Cafe.0617I don’t drink coffee.  I never have and I probably never will but I love Stampin’ Up!’s  new Coffee Café bundle!

“Thanks a Latte”.  How cute is that?

An adorable stamp set. COORDINATING framelits and COORDINGATING Designer Series Paper.  It doesn’t get much better than that!  Not only is the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper coffee themed but one of the papers has little take-out coffee cups on it and there’s a framelit in the Coffee Cups Framelit set that cuts it out!  Oh, my!  That is COORDINATION at it’s finest!  🙂

Oh, don’t forget the ribbons that match the paper too!  I LOVE COORDINATION!  Check out page 31 in the new Annual Catalog to see all these products that….COORDINATE!  🙂

Don’t you love this color combination?  Soft Sky, Whisper White and Early Espresso?  I usually pair earth tones together but this combination is gorgeous.  I think I’m going to have to start stepping out of my color coordination box and try new combinations.  What about you?  Do you stick with the same old color combinations?  Let’s work on color together….

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Happiest of Days

Happiest of Days.0617It’s always someone’s birthday, right?  Yesterday was my nephew’s birthday and today it’s my crazy friend Amy’s birthday.  Happy Birthday to all!

The Happiest of Birthday’s stamp set was one of the first stamp sets in the new catalog to catch my eye.  (page 70)  It has a couple of fun images of a cake and gifts but it also has some sweet floral and sentiment images.  I’m going to be using this stamp set for my swaps for Stampin’ Up!’s Thailand Incentive Trip.  I have the card designed and will share it with you soon.  I just need to start working on all the cards for the swap!  I guess I’ll get to that after I’m organized for tomorrow’s classes!

Yes, I’m starting to go a little crazy.  I’m trying to plan classes, make swaps AND get ready for my trip to Thailand!  Yikes!  It’ll all get done though. No worries!  🙂

This is one of the cards we’ll be making at classes tomorrow.  I tell you….you can never have enough birthday cards!  I used the fun cake image that I mentioned above as well as the equally fun Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  You really must check it out.  So many fun patterns and colors!

Don’t you just love the Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding?!  It’s so soft and FUN!  The Crinkled Seam Binding also comes in Berry Burst, Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach and I have them all!  I told you that the ribbons are the first things I purchase from a new catalog!

This was a fun card to make and pretty easy too.  I hope you like it.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Thinlit

Happy Birthday Thinlits.0517Hello!  Happy Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year!  I should probably have some kind of Summer Solstice card for you today but instead I have another birthday card.

This was the most popular card at my recent Card Buffet Class.  I had about 13 people attend this class and between them they made 33 of these cards.  That’s a lot!

This Happy Birthday Thinlit is quite popular and I’ve seen so many great ideas using it.  One fun idea is to die cut multiple images and then layer them on top of each other.  It’s quite a stunning look.  I just used a single layer on my card.

The die cut image is large enough that you can easily use your Fine-Tip Glue Pen on it or even your Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I chose to use the new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets with the die cut on mine.  These new adhesive sheets work perfectly for die cutting.

I first cut a piece of card stock large enough to fit my Happy Birthday Thinlit.  Then I cut a piece of the adhesive sheet the same size, removed the backing and stuck it to the card stock.  I next ran the card stock through the Big Shot with the Happy Birthday Thinlit, removed the backing from the adhesive sheet and then stuck it to my designer paper.  SO easy!  No fuss.  No mess!  🙂

I’m anxious to get this Thinlit out again and try that layering techinique.  What about you?

Big on Birthdays

Big on Birthdays.0517Happy Monday!  This card is in honor of my sisters who celebrated their birthday on Friday.  (Yes…they’re twins)  I wasn’t able to celebrate with them as they both live in the Minnesota Homeland.  I’m sure I’ll see them some time this summer though.

Here’s a picture of the three of us at my son’s wedding a few years ago.  Sisters.1.1013As you can see, my sisters don’t really look anything alike.  Happy Birthday Lori & Linda!

This gorgeous card was made using the Big on Birthdays stamp set.  It’s new to the annual catalog but it made it’s debut in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Simple, yet elegant.  I love the flower spray and it looks perfect when colored with the new In-Colors Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide.

I did have a little trouble getting the large sentiment to stamp cleanly but then I just used my trusty Basic Black Marker to touch things up.  It worked like a charm!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

I’m Going to Thailand!

Incentive.1It’s getting closer a more real.  My husband and I are heading to Thailand for the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip.  Woo Hoo!  I’ve been stressing about what to pack but yesterday I received our little travel wallet from Stampin’ Up! and it was so much fun!

Did you notice the fun ribbon it’s wrapped with?  That’s the Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon from the new catalog.  It also comes in Berry Burst (my new favorite color!), Emerald Envy and Night of Navy.  I can’t wait to use some of this ribbon on my projects!

Incentive.2Here’s the wallet opened up.  In the plastic part at the top is a pin that says “My first incentive trip”.  Yes.  I’m a rookie.

I think my favorite part of the whole wallet are the luggage tags!  They are absolutely adorable!  Colorful little elephants.  I can’t wait to use them on my luggage!

We leave in 3 weeks, on the 4th of Incentive.3July, YIKES!  It’s coming up fast.  Things are coming together but I still have to figure out what to bring and pack!

A big THANK YOU to all of you wonderful customers and downline who helped make this trip a reality for me!  You’re the best!

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

You Gotta Love It!

Eastern Medallions.0517I’m going to be honest with you.  The thought of the new In-Color Lemon Lime Twist really didn’t do anything for me….at all!  It brought back night mares of the old In-Color Kiwi Kiss….Yuk!

HOWEVER!  You gotta love it!  Lemon Lime Twist is my second favorite In-Color after Berry Burst and right up there in my top 10 current colors.  It’s really fun! It’s the perfect accent color.  Check out this card!  Lemon Lime Twist coordinates perfectly with dark colors like Basic Black.  I love it!

This card just makes me say “Wow!”.  I used the Eastern Beauty stamp set and the COORDINATING Eastern Medallion Thinlits.  I just die cut the large medallion.  Then I stamped the flower medallion twice, die cut them and made a double flower.  I popped the flower on with a couple of dimensionals, added the gorgeous ribbon and I was done!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Video Week: Soft Sayings All Inclusive Card Kit

softsayingsNot only is it still Video Week but it’s also Simple Saturday!  What can be more simple than an all-inclusive kit?!  Yes!  The Soft Sayings Kit is all-inclusive and comes with EVERYTHING (except adhesive) that you will need to make the 20 projects!  Even the clear block for the photopolymer stamps!

I brought this kit with me last month on my trip to the cabin.  No…I didn’t attempt to put it together in the car but I did put it together one afternoon in the cabin.  The directions were clear and easy to follow.  If you look at the picture closely you can see that you get to make three different sizes of cards.

The little stamp set that comes with the kit has some great sentiments that fit perfectly on the different card sizes.  There’s also a couple of leaves and flowers.

One of the great things about this kit is that you can purchase a refill!  The refill comes with everything the kit contains except the stamp set, clear block, ink spot and the box.

Check out the video below and see how easy it is to make these cards!  Oh…did I mention what a great gift this would make?!!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Video Week: You Move Me Bundle

you move me bundleYou will definitely have to check out todays video!  The You Move Me Bundle is amazing.  I’ve actually never seen anything like it.  The picture to the left here doesn’t do the bundle justice.  Watch the video!

Why do you need to watch the video?  The butterfly actually will look like it’s fluttering it’s wings if you pull the white card stock with the stamped image up out of the pocket.  This is one of those things you have to see to believe.  Check it out!  These products are pretty fun.

If you like versatility in your projects you’ll get it with this bundle.  There are plenty of other images and framelits besides the ones that show motion.  You can see the stamp set and framelits as well as more details about the bundle in my online store.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Video Week: Memories & More

Hello!  Today’s video is going to give you a peek at a whole new line of products for Stampin’ Up!.  You may find them vaguely familiar as it’s Stampin’ Up!’s own pocket scrapbooking line.  The great thing about Memories & More is the “More” part.  This line of products includes the album, pages and pens.  It also includes the different themed card packs with coordinating stickers and overlays.  You’re thinking “how is this different than Project Life? which Stampin’ Up! used to carry.  Well…..let me tell you…..the card packs coordinate perfectly with other Stampin’ Up! products!  Stamp sets, designer paper, colors!  Woo Hoo!  COORDINATION!

Check out the two videos below that will acquaint you with the Memories & More

product line.  I think you’re going to love it!

Video Week: Love Today Planner Kit

planner2Oh my!  This planner is beautiful!  I put mine together yesterday and can’t wait to begin to use it!

There are pages, stickers, pockets, photo protector pages and sticky notes.  You will be amazed at how fabulous this planner is!

You have to check out the video below because these photos don’t do it justice!

The month pages don’t have dates on them so you can start using the planner whenever you want.  The months have a planner1month-at-a-glance page as well as weekly pages.

Not only will this planner be great for your own use but it will also make a fabulous gift!  I’m actually contemplating giving them to my sisters for their birthday in a few weeks.

I know you’re going to love it.  Don’t take my word for it though.  Watch the video and see just how fabulous this planner is….did I mention one of the best parts?  You can buy a refill for it!  The refill comes with everything you find in the original planner kit except the 3-ring binder cover.  How great is that?!

You can find out more details about the planner and purchase it in my online store.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Video Week: Embossing Paste

Welcome to the second installment in Video Week.  Today I want to share with you a product that I had never heard of before I saw the new Annual Catalog:  Embossing Paste.  I know, some of you are asking “have you been living under a rock?”.  I guess this isn’t a new craft product but it’s new to me.

Embossing Paste is pretty cool.  I haven’t actually played with it yet but I’m anxious to give it a try.  It looks like so much fun and it really looks easy to use.  Check out the video below and let me know if this is a product that you might like to try.

You can purchase decorative masks to use with the Embossing Paste but I’m also wondering if you could kind of create your own masks with punches and thinlits.  Hmmm….I’m definitely going to give it a try.  I’ll let you know how things turn out.

Another fun thing you can do with Embossing Paste is actually color it with Stampin’ Up! reinkers.  Did you catch that in the video?  Too fun!

I might have to go grab my Embossing Paste and give it a try!  If you want to purchase your own Embossing Paste you can do it right in my online store.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Video Week: Oh, So Eclectic Bundle

Hello!  I have to admit that I didn’t really get a chance to play with all my new toys yesterday.  I did get them put away but in order to do that there was a lot of cleaning up and organizing to do. Yuck!  I really wanted to play.  It is a good feeling to be organized though.

I’m calling this week Video Week on the blog.  Stampin’ Up! has some great videos out about some of their new products and I want to share them with you.

Oh, So Electic.0517The first video I want to share with you is about the Oh, So Eclectic Bundle.  I used this stamp set on the card I shared a few days ago.  There is so much you can do with this stamp set and COORDINATING framelits.  Here’s a simple card  that I made using just the stamp set and the new Fresh Fig In-Color.

Be sure to check out the samples at the end of the video.  There are some really cute ones that I’m anxious to try.

You can check out more details on this bundle here.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
