The Indescribable Gift stamp set is lovely and it just screams to be water colored. So, I got out my Aquapainters, my ink pads and my Water Color Paper and went to work!
I wouldn’t consider myself an artist, especially when it comes to painting. One of the best things I’ve learned about water coloring is that you don’t always have to stay in the lines! That’s the beauty of it! It definitely works for me!
Have you ever water colored with Aquapainters and your ink pads? It’s SO easy! First off, if you don’t know what an Aquapainter is it’s basically a paintbrush with it’s own reservoir of water. You can check them out here. They’re very easy to use. Before opening your ink pad, squish the top down a few times. This will get a little ink from the foam pad onto the lid. Squeeze the reservoir of your Aquapainter to get the brush part wet. Now open your ink pad and pick up some of that ink you just squeezed onto the lid. Now paint away!
I used Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede on this card. So soft and beautiful. Can you see that I stamped the floral design directly onto the Pear Pizzazz card before adding the other layers? It just seems to help make the image pop.
Have a great day! Take care and Happy Stamping!
