Hello! Happy Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year! I should probably have some kind of Summer Solstice card for you today but instead I have another birthday card.
This was the most popular card at my recent Card Buffet Class. I had about 13 people attend this class and between them they made 33 of these cards. That’s a lot!
This Happy Birthday Thinlit is quite popular and I’ve seen so many great ideas using it. One fun idea is to die cut multiple images and then layer them on top of each other. It’s quite a stunning look. I just used a single layer on my card.
The die cut image is large enough that you can easily use your Fine-Tip Glue Pen on it or even your Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I chose to use the new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets with the die cut on mine. These new adhesive sheets work perfectly for die cutting.
I first cut a piece of card stock large enough to fit my Happy Birthday Thinlit. Then I cut a piece of the adhesive sheet the same size, removed the backing and stuck it to the card stock. I next ran the card stock through the Big Shot with the Happy Birthday Thinlit, removed the backing from the adhesive sheet and then stuck it to my designer paper. SO easy! No fuss. No mess! 🙂
I’m anxious to get this Thinlit out again and try that layering techinique. What about you?
