Party Pants! A New Sale-a-bration Item!

IMG_7542 (2)I LOVE new stuff!  Here is one of Stampin’ Up!’s newest offerings.  Party Pants is one of three new Sale-a-bration items that are available starting TODAY!  🙂

Yesterday was the last day for three Sale-a-bration items (Sky’s the Limit, Hello and the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper) so today they brought out three new items.  The Party Pants stamp set, Pedal Pusher stamp set and Metallics Glitter Tape.   Woo Hoo!

I decided to get a head start on playing with these items and chose Party Pants first.  One of the fun stamps says “put our Party Pants on”.  Too fun!  I got carried away with designing this card.  I actually came up with three different renditions (that you will probably see in the next few days!).

This was my first card.  Easy and fun.  I had a ball playing with the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim.  I don’t know why I haven’t used it much before.  The secret to using it on a card like this is to cut your trim as long as you’d like.  Turn it over to the back and put a little drop of your Fine Tip Glue on the back of the last sequin on each end.  You want to do this so the thread doesn’t fray and your sequins won’t fall off!

I used my trusty little hand held stapler (from Stampin’ Up!) to put the sequin trim on the banner.  The stapler is another one of those things that I don’t use much that I really should.  It’s fun and easy to use!  The stapler uses mini staples that really look cute on a card.  🙂

The reason I like this card so much is that I used a couple of items that I dug out of my stash that were getting a little dusty.  Sequin trim and the stapler.  I may have to use these items a bit more.

Do you have any items sitting in your craft room that don’t get much use?

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

‘Hello’ Card

IMG_7503Hello!  That’s your greeting this morning as well as the name of the stamp set I used on the card.  Speaking of the card….isn’t it gorgeous?

Yesterday I showed you a card using one of the Sale-a-bration items that won’t be around after February 15th.  Well, today’s card actually showcases the other two items that will not be around after February 15th.  The Hello stamp set and the beautiful Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper.

Yep.  This designer paper was one of those things I didn’t really think I needed when I first saw the Sale-a-bration brochure.  I was wrong.  It’s really pretty and there is so much you can do with it!  One side of each sheet is marbled and the other side is more of a water color look.  I used the water color side for this card.

Don’t you love the butterfly?  I bet you’re wondering how I did that….It’s pretty simple really.  What you need is your Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit.  I die cut it with the Shimmery White card stock.  Once you have it die cut you adhere it to your piece of Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper (with your fine-tip glue pen).  Once the glue is dry you run it through the Big Shot again with the Bold Butterfly Framelit and ta da! you have your lacy butterfly!  So pretty!

Have you noticed recently that I’ve been using a lot of candy dots?  They just seem to finish off a card perfectly!  I love starting to use some of the fabulous accessories that I’ve been hoarding!  Ha!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Sky is the Limit

Sky is the Limit.0116.1It’s a stamp set perfect for guys!  Woo Hoo!  Stamp sets that you can use for guys are few and far between.  I was so excited to see this stamp set in the Sale-a-bration Brochure!  My father-in-law had an airplane for a number of years so this card will be perfect for him.  Unfortunately, his birthday was in December so hopefully I’ll remember I have this card on hand when the time comes!  Ha!

I’ve seen some pretty cute cards make with this stamp set but Sky is the Limit is one of the three items in the Sale-a-bration Brochure that is only available until February 15th!  Yikes!  You better get yours now!

How can you get yours?  It’s easy!  With a $50 order you can choose any of the items in the Sale-a-bration Brochure for FREE!  Yep, with each $50 you spend you can choose 1 item.  Spend $100, get 2 items.  Spend $150 get 3 SAB items AND Stampin’ Rewards and it keeps going!    Jump right in and place that order here!  Who doesn’t like FREE stuff?!  🙂

Sale-a-bration 2016: What I Love

What I Love.1215I think that the What I Love stamp set is my favorite Sale-a-bration item in this year’s Sale-a-bration Brochure.  These flowers are so cute!

We’re making this card in classes this week.  If the basic design looks a little familiar it should.  I got the idea for it right from page 7 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  You can also see my inspiration card on last Tuesday’s post.

These days I’m trying hard not to “reinvent the wheel”.  People share their ideas for a reason.  Why not use them!  🙂

I liked the card in the Sale-a-bration Brochure but wanted to try something a little different.  That led me to coming up with a different color combination which led to this card.  Much easier than starting from scratch!  I hope you use my samples as inspiration for your cards.

What’s your favorite Sale-a-bration item this year?  Leave me a comment and let me know.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Don’t be scared off by this die.  Stay tuned in for a post about a fabulous new tool that you will definitely want to use with this die.  It makes using this die EASY!  🙂

20150130_161408_resizedOne of my favorite items from the Sale-a-bration Brochure is the “What I Love” stamp set.  It’s a three step stamp set meaning it takes three different stamps to make the full flower.  Isn’t this card pretty?  I used this card as a starting point for a card we’re making next week in class.  Be sure to check back next week to see what I came up with.

The great thing about this pretty little stamp set is that you can get it for FREE simply by making a $50 purchase.  You can reach this by purchasing the items used on the friend card above:

  • Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set + Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die Bundle  (#140818 $35.50)
