More Acorns!

022More acorns!  Acorns always remind me of Minnesota.  We had lots of oak trees and lots of acorns back in the Homeland.

Another fun swap card with acorns.  Thanks Julie!  These little acorns are from the For All Things stamp set which of course COORDINATES with the Color Me Autumn designer paper.  I love all the little banners on this card!  Some of the banners are made from the Color Me Autumn designer paper pack, some are plain card stock, some are ribbon and some are pieces of the Color Me Autumn Washi Tape stuck on card stock.  How fun is that?!

It’s a little hard to see in the picture but Julie sewed a row of zig-zags on the edge of the card stock making it look like that’s what is holding the banners on.  Too cute!  I’d love to try this little technique but my sewing machine isn’t working and I’m in the market for a new one.  Unfortunately the one I kind of like the best costs a bit more than I had anticipated spending.  Hmmm….what to do?  Should I bite the bullet and get the really nice one or find something a little more in my price range?  What would you do?  Leave a comment and let me know!  I could use all the help I can get…..I’m not good at making decisions!  Ha!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

For All Things – Two Ways!

002Fall!  My favorite season!  I love when the weather gets cooler and I need to wear a jacket.  I love that it’s football season and that the leaves start changing color.  When fall comes around it’s not hard to be grateful for all things.

The new For All Things stamp set in the Holiday Catalog is gorgeous!  I love it because it screams FALL!  I CASEd this card directly from the Stampin’ Success magazine which is for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  Cute and simple!   The Color Me Autumn Washi Tape is so fun on the card and the Gold Basic Metal Button finishes the card off perfectly.

018Why stop with a card though?  This is such a simple design why not use it on something else?  Well, that’s exactly what I did.  For another boot camp assignment we had to make up a little packet that would introduce our self to someone telling them what we do.  We were also suppose to include a couple of cards and a class schedule.

I decided to use to use the same design as I used on the card.  I put it on a banner, die cut it an adhered it one of the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  Too cute!  We only had to make and hand out three.  The people I gave it to loved them so I think I’ll need to make some more.

So, do you like the design better on the card or on the bag?  Leave me a comment to let me know.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

For All Things in Blackberry Bliss

058As I mentioned yesterday, I really like the For All Things stamp set.  I also really like the, yes, COORDINATING, Color Me Autumn Designer Paper.  Who doesn’t love COORDINATION?!!!  🙂

For this simple card I used them both with matching ribbon of course!  The 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in the 2014-2016 In Colors is gorgeous!  It’s one of my favorite ribbons .  It’s pretty, and just about the perfect width.   Here I’ve used the Blackberry Bliss of course since it COORDINATES with the designer paper!  I’d really have a hard time making a card without products that coordinate.  How about you?

This card turned out pretty nice….it’s a shame I can’t figure out how to adhere a piece of card stock to it and make it straight!  Sheesh!  Just pretend you don’t notice that the piece with the sentiment on it is crooked….

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Layered For All Things

068I promised you something from the new Holiday Catalog and here it is!  My first card!

For All Things was the first stamp set I knew I had to have from the Holiday Catalog.  I love fall and cooler weather.  Give me jeans and a sweatshirt over shorts and a tank top any day!

This is just a simple card with some layers.  The colors I used on this card are Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede  and Hello Honey.  I did stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss but if I made the card again I’d probably stick with the darker colors already on the card .

The squiggly lines are from the Chalk Lines stamp set.  Pretty fun.  It’s one of the border sets in the new regular catalog.  I guess I can stop calling it new since it’s been out for almost three months now….hmmmm…!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
