Blooms & Wishes

blooms-wishes-0816This is probably my favorite card from my Card Buffet classes this week.  You know….it’s PINK!  🙂

A girl’s gotta love Flirty Flaming, right?  Have you used this color combination before?  Flirty Flamingo and Peek-a-boo Peach?  They look pretty good together don’t they?

You know me….I have a hard time with random but I think I did a pretty good job on this card.  I just stamped some flowers full strength and some of them I stamped off before stamping on the card.  Easy peasy!

I have the cards planned for my Love & Friendship classes next week but my team has a meeting on Sunday to plan our next Stamp Camp.  That means I need to design a card or two for that meeting as well as design and make some cards for our team swap that are due that same day.  All this on top of three classes this week.  Yikes!  I think I’m going to be busy!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Beautiful Blooms & Wishes

Blooms & Wishes.0716The Blooms & Wishes stamp set and the coordinating Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper are absolutely GORGEOUS!  Both of them!

I am in love with the colors and designs of the designer paper and I love the font on the sentiments in the stamp sets as well as the other images.  I don’t think you can go wrong ordering these two items.  Of course there’s also the fact that you can a few different ribbons that coordinate with the paper…..have I ever mentioned that I LOVE coordination?  Ha!

In this pack of designer papers half of them are in this blue/green color combo and the other half is pink/purple.  Wow!  Too fun!  Of course my favorites are the pink/purples but these blue/greens are very lovely also.  🙂

Did you know I have an appreciation program for my customers?  For every $50 you spend on an order you get a point and when you accumulate 10 points you get to choose a stamp set from a current catalog valued at $30 or less for FREE!

Anyway….I send out cards every quarter with a sheet in them that lets you know how many FREE stamp sets you’ve earned.  This is the card that I sent out in July.  Pretty easy although I did have to cute out the narrow blue label by hand.  I used the Tags & Labels Framelits for the other two but they didn’t have one quite the size I wanted for the blue.  It was pretty easy though.

I made about 10-12 of these cards to mail out and the funny thing is that I made a few of them upside down.  Sheesh!  I thought I caught them all but apparently I didn’t.  About a week or so later I received a birthday card from one of these customers.  She sent me back the card I had made which was UPSIDE DOWN!  Yikes!  Luckily I know she has a good sense of humor.  🙂

I hope you find something in this day that makes you laugh and smile.  Have a great one!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Wink of Stella Trick

Blooms & Wishes.launch0616Hello!  As I mentioned yesterday, I had my New Catalog Launch Party on Saturday.  In hopes of getting people to RSVP farther in advance than they usually do I offered a gift to the first 15 people who sent their RSVP.  These are the little gifts that I gave them.

The gift is one of the new, decorated Glassine Gift Bags.  Inside are a couple of Ghirardelli candies along with a sheet of the new Metallic Enamel Shapes.  The bags with the gold doily on them have a sheet of the gold shapes and the bag with the silver doily has the silver shapes!  🙂

The little decoration on the front was pretty easy to make.  I first stamped the dotted circle from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.  Then I stamped the sentiment and the flower from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set.  The ribbon is the fun, new Watermelon Wonder 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon.

Wink of Stella Rhinestone.0616You’re wondering where the Wink of Stella Trick comes in now aren’t you?  🙂

I put a rhinestone in the center of the little flowers but I wasn’t real keen on the way the clear/silver rhinestone looked with the gold doily.  So I’m thinking “How can I make this gold?  Hmm…”.  I looked at my stash of toys and first tried the gold pen Stampin’ Up! carried a few years back but that had more of a matte finish.  I finally came across my gold Wink of Stella Glitter Pen and thought I’d give it a try.  I wasn’t sure it would “stick” to the rhinestone but lucky me! It did!  So there’s your trick….You can color the Stampin’ Up! rhinestones with your gold Wink of Stella Glitter Pen!  Woo Hoo!  It will probably work on the pearls too but I haven’t tried that one yet.  Let me know if you try it.  I’d love to know.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
