Beautiful You - Stamp By Stamp Creations

Beautiful You.0217 Last week I held a Card Buffet Class where my customers can make as many cards as they’d like. I designed 8 fairly simple cards so that they would have time to make a bunch if they liked.

Today’s card is one of the one’s I designed for the Card Buffet. I couldn’t go wrong with the Beautiful You stamp set and the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper! 🙂

It’s hard to tell but on the right edge of the designer paper I added a piece of Night of Navy Solid Baker’s Twine. It just seemed to finish the card off. Simple, yet elegant.

This design will definitely work with any of the images in the Beautiful You stamp set since the area you are stamping on is so large. The blue and white color scheme is simple enough too for any of the images. Give it a try!

The new Beautiful You stamp set that you’ll be able to find in Stampin’ Up!’s new Occasions Catalog starting tomorrow just called to me. I don’t know why. It’s not the usual type of stamp set that catches my eye. I think that part of the reason I’m drawn to are the sayings. Especially the one I used on this card. Live, Laugh, Love is kind of my mantra.

The figure I used on this card is my favorite of the three different ones in the stamp set so I set out to design a card using it and my favorite saying from the set. This is what I came up with. A very simple design which I water colored.

I started with Shimmery White card stock, ink pads and my Aquapainter. At first I tried coloring the image with my new Watercolor Pencils but as I mentioned yesterday I just haven’t quite mastered them yet.

Instead of inking the sentiment with both a black marker and a Bermuda Bay marker I first inked the stamp in the Bermuda Bay ink pad and then I used my black marker right over the Bermuda Bay ink.
