Mother’s Day is coming up fast! Are you ready? I still need to think about gifts for my mom and MIL but I do have a card ready for my mom.
Whenever I’m back in the MN Homeland my mom and I play word games so this card is perfect for her. (Yes, we play Words With Friends on our mobile devices too.) I made this card using the fun Sweet Laughter stamp set that you can find on page 36 of the Occasions Catalog. There are some fun images in this set. I knew that I had to make my mom a card using this stamp set as soon as I saw it. The dictionary with the definition of mother is perfect!
I even got to practice my water coloring with this card. I’m kind of getting into that. I made the background for the card using the photopolymer stamp set “Snuggles and Smooches” (item #143326 $15.95) which is not in any catalog. Click here to see the images in this fun stamp set. Photopolymer stamps run a close second to my favorite wood mount stamp sets. I love how you can see right through them for perfect placement. The only think I don’t like about them is that some of the deeper colors actually stain the photopolymer. You can still see through them but they’re not perfectly clear anymore.
I’m pretty sure my mom is going to like this card. Now I just need to figure out a card for my MIL. Hmmm….
