Happy Birthday Paper Pumpkin!

PP0319Look what came in the mail for me yesterday!  My March Paper Pumpkin Kit!  Check out thies fun box!  Paper Pumpkin is celebrating it’s 6th birthday this month!  Happy Birthday!  Woo Hoo!

To celebrate their birthday this contains not one, but 2 stamp sets!  How fun is that?  Just think of all the fun birthday cards you can make with these two stamp sets.  The PP0319.1numbers are a good size so they’ll make the perfect focal point for your cards.

The Paper Pumpkin kits have come a LONG way over the years.  They keep getting better and better!  Check out these fun pop-up cards in this month’s kit!  Too fun!  I can’t wait to put my kit together!

The Paper Pumpkin kits are meant to be a surprise but lately we’ve been getting hints through social media as to what’s coming in the next month.   For this March kit we knew it was going to be some kind of pop-up project and we knew that we would be getting an extra stamp set in the kit.  Too fun!

They’ve already started the hints for the April Kit.  They’ve already shared with us that the kit will include a Distinktive stamp set.  This is the new type of stamp that Stampin’ Up! has come out with that has a very realistic, dimensional look.  You can learn more about Distinktive stamps here.  Are you ready for it?  Don’t miss out on the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  You can sign up here today!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

My September 2017 Paper Pumpkin

SeptPP.0917Are you subscribed to Paper Pumpkin?  You should be!  These kits keep getting better and better.  I LOVE the kit I received earlier this month!  It definitely says Fall.  Fall colors.  Fall leaves.  It’s gorgeous.

Here you can see the projects as I made them according to the provided directions.  So cute!  What you can’t see from the picture is that both the pillow box and the little card are embossed with a swirly wind-like pattern.  After I made these two projects I decided that I really didn’t need pillow boxes or 3″ x 3″ note cards so I tried to figure out how I could make them into regular size cards.

SeptPPalt.0917This is what I came up with.  Didn’t they turn out nice?   I kept the leaves and tag portions as is from the kit since they were so cut.  For the card on the left I cut apart the pillow box and used it as the background for the leaves and just added a border of Whisper White and adhered it to a Cajun Craze card.

For the card on the right I cut apart the 3″ x 3″ card AND the coordinating envelope using both of them as layers for my leaves.  Again I just added a border of Whisper White and adhered everything to a Cajun Craze card.

I’m really looking forward to next month’s kit….actually I’m looking forward to the kits for both October and November.  Why you ask?  Well…Stampin’ Up! has shared with us that these are going to coordinating kits!  Yep.  You heard me correctly.  They are going to be coordinating.  There will cards as well as gift giving items for the upcoming holidays.  I can’t wait to check it out!  If you want to receive your coordinating kits be sure to sign up for Paper Pumpkin prior to October 10th.   For more information about Paper Pumpkin simply go to the Paper Pumpkin website and list me as your demonstrator.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Fall Into Savings!

Shareables-2_PP_Sept_Promo_Aug0817I’m telling you…..Paper Pumpkin just keeps getting better and better!  These all-inclusive kits are fun and easy to make.  I know you’d love them if you gave them a try.

aug17ppSeriously….give it a try.  I’m anxiously awaiting the August kit.  It should ship within the next couple of days.  Most of the time what’s inside of these kits is a big surprise but sometimes Paper Pumpkin will give us a hint on their Facebook Page.   The picture at the left is the hint they gave us for this month. Here is what they said: “You don’t want to miss out on finding how these elements work with the rest of August’s coral-hued kit! Think warm CARDS and gifting!”.  Oooo…so much fun!

For more information or to renew or sign up for your Paper Pumpkin subscription just go to www.paperpumpkin.com and please list me, Cindy Russell from Highlands Ranch CO, as your demonstrator.  Give it a try.  I think you’ll like it!

IMG_7689I received my March Paper Pumpkin Kit the other day!  Woo Hoo!  These kits are so fun and easy to make!

In the second picture to see everything that comes in your monthly kit.  You get a set of instructions (with photos), all of the pieces and parts needed for your projects including glue dots and adhesive strips, a mini stamp set and an ink spot (sometimes two!).

This month’s kit was called “Pocketful of Cheer” because you make 8 cards and gift card holders.  Too cute!  As I was working on this month’s kit I realized that one of the things that I really like about Paper Pumpkin is the fun color combinations that you find.  IMG_7691This month’s kit used Bermuda Bay and Cucumber Crush together.  I don’t think I would have come up with that combination on my own but I love it!  I’m definitely going to have to try it on some of my own projects!

These kits keep getting better and better.  I liked last month’s kit so much that I ordered 3 refills so I could make more!  Yep….as a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can order refill kits for many of the kits!  These refill kits and sometimes extra kits are only available to current subscribers.

Check out this month’s video to see how easy it is to make a project.

In this kit there are enough supplies to make 24 pinwheels!  Wow!  All the pieces were cut and ready to make a pinwheel.  Easy-peasy!

I only made a couple of them because I’m going to do a class for my sister next week back home in MN and I’m going to let all the guest make one to see how easy these kits are to use.

A Baseball Card for Mother’s Day

Mothers' Day.0514 (2)Last week I posted a baseball card made using the Chevron Punch.  I mentioned that I made my mom a similar card for Mother’s Day but forgot to take a picture of it.  Well, here it is.  My mom took a picture of it for me yesterday after opening her gift and sent it to me.  Here it is.

My Mother’s Day was quite peaceful.  Hubby is out of town.  Son #1 lives in California and Son #2 worked all day.  Son #2 did stop by after work though so that was nice.  I spent the day playing in my craft room and watching the snow fall outside.  Yes…..I said snow!  Yuk!  Actually it’s still snowing on Monday morning as I write this.  Life in Colorado!

I got caught up on some of the Paper Pumpkin kits that have been piling up on me.  They’re so easy and fun I don’t know why I don’t keep up with them.  If you don’t what Paper Pumpkin is it’s a monthly kit that arrives in the mail every month.  It contains everything you’ll need to make that month’s project except for adhesive.  The projects are fun and easy and they keep getting better every month!  Have you tried Paper Pumpkin yet?  You should!  Sign up today!  Just go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com.  Please list me as your demonstrator if you do sign up.  🙂

They’ve changed the way they send out the kits.  It used to be that you got a special Starter Kit when you signed up but now you will just get the next month’s kit along with everyone else.  This starts in June.  Let me know if you have any questions on Paper Pumpkin.  It’s fun!

Have a great (warm and sunny!) day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Look What I Got!!!

006It’s Paper Pumpkin time!  Yesterday I got this month’s Paper Pumpkin!  Woo Hoo!  I can’t wait to play with it!  Unfortunately it will have to wait until I get home from my fun weekend.  This afternoon I’m heading to Salt Lake City, UT for a Stampin’ Up! regional event.  Not only will I learn lots of fun new stuff but I get to have a sneak peek at the new 2013-2014 Catalog!  Woo Hoo!!!!  I’m SO excited!

Back to Paper Pumpkin….have you signed up yet?  It’s so exciting getting a fun little package in the mail every month.  Look at this cute little Thank You note that came with the package.  It says “Kick back, take your shoes off, and find your creative zen –it’s time for yourself.  Let’s create.  I’m so excited to escape with you every month.  Are you wondering what we’ll create next?  Don’t worry.  I’ve got all our adventures planned out!  Until next month….XOXO, Paper Pumpkin.”  Too cute!

Be sure to go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com before May 10th to sign up for this FUN program!  When you do sign up be sure to put my name, Cindy Russell, as your demonstrator.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
