Hearts and Paper Pumpkin

January 2020 Paper Pumpkin

On Friday I received my January Paper Pumpkin kit. Usually when I receive my kits they go on the shelf with all of my other Paper Pumpkin kits…I’m a collector. Ha! This month though, I decided to actually sit down and work on my kit. What a concept!

Check out these adorable projects that can be made with this kit. It’s hard to see in the upper right corner but the instruction sheet tells you that the kit will make 10 little 3″ x 3″ cards and 20 little treat bags. Wow!

Now, some of you are probably saying that you don’t need little cards or little treat bags. That’s what I was thinking….at first.

I started my crafting by making one of the little cards and one of the little bags according to the directions as you can see in the first picture below. Then I took what I originally made and made them into full size cards (second photo). In the third photo I’ve made the original projects into note cards.

After these changes I made more cards trying to keep things pretty basic. I didn’t want to get too carried away.

Since I didn’t need any little treat bags I was going to continue making full size cards with the remaining products in the kit. Then I had an epiphany! I would make little thank you treats and hand them out in the weeks leading up to Valentines Day. Waiters, cashiers, etc.. Just a little thank you for something nice someone does. Did you know that a Ghirardelli chocolate fits in the little bags perfectly? Now I just need to pick some up and fill my cute little treat bags!

I had a lot of fun with my January 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit and can’t wait for February’s! I’ve already been given a hint that it will coordinate with the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set in the Sale-a-bration Brochure! I love these little teasers!

If you’d like to have as much fun as I had with a Paper Pumpkin kit you should sign up to receive these monthly kits. As you can tell from this kit, they’re not all full size cards, but many of the kits are. From my post here, you can also see that when a kit isn’t full size cards, it’s not hard to make to pieces and parts you receive into full size cards with a little extra cardstock.

You can check out the Paper Pumpkin website and sign up today! Give it a try! I think you’ll enjoy receiving this monthly kit in the mail!

Have a great day! Take care and Happy Stamping!
