MDS Monday: Shadow Box

263Hello!  I’m back from Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership Conference in Houston.  It was awesome!  I really learned a lot and had a great time too!  Stampin’ Up! has some great new products coming out in the next few months so stay tuned!  Here’s a picture of goofy me.  Manager’s Reception was at the Houston Aquarium.  From the picture you can see that we got a bit silly in the gift store!  😀

It’s MDS (My Digital Studio) Monday and today I’d like to share with you the shadow box I made for my son and his new wife for Christmas.  I used MDS to crop and size all of the photos.  It was so easy!  MDS was perfect for the saying 031box.  First I took a picture that had the bride’s bouquet in it and cropped it down so all I saw was the bouquet.  Then I changed the opacity on the picture so that I’d be able to see the words.  Lastly I added a text box and typed in the saying.  Easy-Peasy!  You really should try My Digital Studio.  It’s a wonderful product and the best part is it’s only $19.95.  You can either purchase it as a download or as a disc.  Check it out in my store!  Let me know if you have any questions.  I LOVE this product!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

MDS Christmas Card

Snowy Holiday Christmas 2013-001‘Twas the night before Christmas…..

I guess it’s about time that I showed you the Christmas card I made this year using My Digital Studio.  It was such a quick and easy way to get my cards done this year.

The hardest part to making the card was deciding on which template to use.  Once I made that decision I just drag and dropped in the picture and my card was done!  🙂

This is my family at my son Jared’s wedding in October.  My son Kyle (the tall one!) performed the ceremony.  It was very nice.  We wish you all a blessed Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Happy Stamping (or should I say Happy MDS-ing?)!

MDS Monday: Wedding Page

JMWedding-012Welcome back to MDS (My Digital Studio) Monday!  Here is one of the pages from the albums I’ve been working on.  As I’ve mentioned before, I like to stick to simple for my layouts and embellishments.

All of the pages in the book started with the Crumb Cake background overlaid with the slightly darker Crumb Cake chevron design.  That part was so simple to make.  I simply lighted the opacity of the background so that the chevron design would show up darker.  I love that little trick.  If you’re wondering why I chose the chevron design for the background go back to this post.  We used the chevron design on the programs for the wedding.  I thought those turned out so cute I just had to use that design again!  🙂

All of the pictures in the book have a black frame around them and if the page needed a little something to fill in the blank space I used this little flower outline.  Like I said, my scrapbooking style is very simple….especially when you’re trying to get things done quickly!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Another MDS Monday!

Convention 2009-004It’s time to show you more of what you can do with My Digital Studio.  This really is a great product.  You really should give it a try!  😀

This is a page from an album I made back in 2009, shortly after My Digital Studio (MDS) came out.  The album is all about Convention 2009.   On the last MDS page that I showed you I had designed everything on the page.  This page was SO easy to make because all I did was drag and drop my photo onto the page and add the text!  I used the Summer Home Designer Template.  All of the pages were designed and as I mentioned, all I had to do was drag and drop my photos onto the pages.  The nice thing about using one of the templates in My Digital Studio is that all of the work is done for you but you can still change things up a bit if you’d like.  You can add more photo boxes, move the embellishments around and even add new ones.

You really should give this fabulous product a try.  It’s easy and fun.  I’d be happy to sit down with you and show you how it works.  You can either purchase it now for only $19.95 give it a trial run for 30 days for FREE!  Just click on the “MDS free trial” box on the upper right portion of this page.  For you Baby Boomers……”Try it….you’ll like it!”  😀

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

MDS Monday: My Sisters

It’s a new month and time for new ideas!  This month I’m hoping to start some new “theme” days.  The first I’d like to introduce to you is MDS Monday.  On Mondays (not necessarily every Monday) I am going to post some projects created using My Digital Studio.  If you’re not familiar with MDS it’s Stampin’ Up!’s digital design program.  It’s fabulous!  You can do SO much with it.  The product itself comes with tons of stuff included but there’s a whole library of downloads that you can purchase.  Stampin’ Up! comes out with new downloads every week!  So there’s no need to worry that you’ll be stuck with the same old items for all of your projects.

Did you know that there is a website just for My Digital Studio?  Check it out at www.mydigitalstudio.net.  Some other fun facts about this program are 1) the price has just be lowered to only $19.95! and 2) you can try it for FREE for 30 days!  Both of these are great reasons to give it a try.  For your FREE trial just go to my Stampin’ Up! website and click on the box in the upper right-hand corner that says “MDS FREE TRIAL”.  Just download it to your computer and start playing!

MDS.LL1But I digress…you want to know about today’s project!  This page was pretty easy to make.  It’s part of the album I made for my sisters for their 50th birthdays last summer.  The only elements that I added to the page were the “Medallion Stamp Brush” (item #118124), the “Soft Blooms” embellishments (item #130080) and the “Basic Pearsl & Rhinestones” embellishments (item #124330).

Would you like to learn how to use this product?  I’d be happy to sit down with you and show you how to use it.  I know you’ll love it!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!  Be sure to check out MDS today!
