Simple Saturday: Mediterranean Moments

snow42917Hello!  It’s Simple Saturday.  Actually, I should call it Snowy Saturday!  Yep…this is life in Colorado.  Just when you think it’s safe to put your winter clothes away you need them again!

Simple Saturday is about cards….not weather!  Today’s card was made using the Mediterranean Moments stamp set.  Did you know that this stamp set was inspired by one of Mediterranean Moments.0417Stampin’ Up!’s Million Dollar Sales Achiever?  Susan Nygaard helped design/inspire this stamp set.  How fun is that?

This stamp set has four great line-art images.  They’re perfect for coloring or just stamping as I’ve done here.  A stamped image, a sentiment, a couple of layers and a little bit of baker’s twine and my card is done!

One of the great things about this card is that you can leave off the sentiment and have it on hand to use for any occasion.  Stamp a bunch of these and give them as a gift!  (Mother’s Day is just around the corner!)

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Love & Affection

Love & Affection.0217Welcome to Simple Saturday!  It doesn’t get a whole lot simpler than this card.  All you need to do for this easy layout is start with your favorite piece of designer series paper.

I chose this pretty piece of paper from the Affectionately Yours package of designer paper.  The Night of Navy and Crumb Cake is such a striking color combination.

Once I chose my designer paper I simply layered it on a piece of Night of Navy card stock and put it on the front of the card.  Then I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, layered that on Night of Navy, put it on the front of my card and my card was done!  Easy Peasy!

You could even skip the sentiment and just make your designer paper a bit larger on the card front and you’d still have a great card.

Here are the dimensions that I used:

Crumb Cake:  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, 3 3/8″ x 1 1/8″

Night of Navy:  3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″, 3 1/2″ x 1 1/4″

Designer Paper:  3 3/8″ x 3 3/8″

Have fun making this SIMPLE card!  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Beautiful You

Beautiful You.0217Last week I held a Card Buffet Class where my customers can make as many cards as they’d like.  I designed 8 fairly simple cards so that they would have time to make a bunch if they liked.

Today’s card is one of the one’s I designed for the Card Buffet.  I couldn’t go wrong with the Beautiful You stamp set and the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper!  🙂

It’s hard to tell but on the right edge of the designer paper I added a piece of Night of Navy Solid Baker’s Twine.  It just seemed to finish the card off.  Simple, yet elegant.

This design will definitely work with any of the images in the Beautiful You stamp set since the area you are stamping on is so large.  The blue and white color scheme is simple enough too for any of the images.  Give it a try!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Dragonflies

Detailed Dragonfly.0117This was one of those cards that just made me smile when I finished designing it.  🙂

How can you go wrong with dragonflies, pink Bokeh paper and Cooper Foil Sheets?  I mean really…..

I took three of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products and put them together on a card….an easy card!  No stamping involved.  I just die cut some dragonflies, added a few layers and had this fabulous looking card.  LOVE IT!

Isn’t it great when you come up with a design that makes you feel good and then have it so easy to make too?  I designed this card for a swap that my team did for the new Occasions Catalog.  It was tough to decide on a card since there are so many great products to choose from.

Do you have a favorite product from the Occasions Catalog?  I’m pretty sure that the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle is my favorite.  Let me know what yours is!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: So Very Much Thank You

So Very Much.0117A very simple card for Simple Saturday!  It doesn’t get a whole lost simpler unless I had a single layer card.

Do you remember that gorgeous designer series paper I was talking about yesterday?  Well, I used it again on this card.  This is actually the blue Bokeh pattern I mentioned in yesterday’s post.  The Falling in Love Designer Series Paper is GORGEOUS!

I was playing around yesterday and needed to design a card for the church office.  As I’ve mentioned before, I’m in charge of a group at church who make cards for the church office staff to send out.  The gals in the office just contact me when they are in need of cards and I either get the group together to make the cards or whip them up myself depending on how many cards they need and what my calendar looks like.   My schedule is pretty filled up this coming week so I’m making them myself this time since there isn’t too many.

One of the cards needed was a thank you card.  I have all of my Occasions Catalog stamp sets and Sale-a-bration stamp sets together on a book shelf so I just too a look to see if there were any new sets that would work.  The So Very Much stamp set was perfect for my needs.  Since I’m making a quantity of cards I like to keep them simple and I definitely did that on this card.  Stamp on the card, layer it and pop it on the card front.  Easy Peasy!

The So Very Much stamp set is a Sale-a-bration item that you can choose for FREE with a $50 order!  Woo Hoo!  FREE stuff!  Check out the Sale-a-bration Brochure to see what other great items you can choose for free.  Just click on the Sale-a-bration Brouchure on the right.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: A Sneak Peek

Halloween.1.0816It’s Simple Saturday AND a sneak peek!  How great is that?!!!  🙂

Stampin’ Up! has fabulous designer paper and what better way to make a simple card than to use it as the focal point or background of your card.

I couldn’t resist making these little fun and easy 3″ x 3″ cards.  They are both made with the Halloween Nights Designer Series Paper that you will find in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  The little haunted house scene is printed in strips over and over again on the 12″ x 12″ sheet.  I simply trimmed out one little tiny scene, mounted it on a slightly larger piece of Basic Black card stock and then popped that up on my card.

The spider web card is only slight my involved.  The little spider web, spiders and words are from the Spooky Fun stamp set.  They fit perfectly on my little 3″ x 3″ card.  I added some layers and now I have a fun little spooky card!

The Halloween Nights Designer Paper pack is full of fun and spooky designs.  I know you’re going to love it.  If you don’t have a copy of the upcoming Holiday Catalog you can request one from me (cindy@stampbystampcreations.com) or check online on September 1st.  I know you’re going to love it!

Have a fun and Simple Saturday!  Enjoy!

Simple Saturday: Sympathy

Corner Garden.0416Simple Saturday….when you need a quick card.

My customers loved this card!  Quick and easy.  Stamp the image, stamp the sentiment, add your ribbon and an extra layer and you’re done!  The only way it could be any quicker would be if you left off the ribbon and stamped your image and sentiment directly on to the white card itself.  Of course I couldn’t do that…..if you can put extra layers and ribbon on a card I need to do it!  🙂

Are you into the adult coloring movement?  More than one customer this week mentioned how fun this image would be to color.  I’ve seen it colored and it is gorgeous but I’m pretty sure that I don’t have the patience to do it.  Do you?

What do you have planned this weekend?  I’m having a few friends over tonight to watch the season premier of Outlander this evening.  Snacks, beverages and Jamie Frasier.  It doesn’t get much better than that!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Fall Fest!

027A simple card that for some us isn’t quite so simple….

I have a confession to make….I have a really hard time with random.  I did a fairly good job on this card but it was difficult for me.  Give me a pattern to follow and I have no problem but random has me shaking in my boots!

The adorable little leaves on this card are from the Fall Fest stamp set which does COORDINATE with the Fun Fall Framelits.  I didn’t use the framelits on this card because I made it for Simple Saturday.  I chose a color for each different leaf and stamped them randomly (yes…difficult for me!) across the card stock.  Then I added the sentiment from the Four You stamp set.  That’s it!  This card doesn’t even have ribbon!  Unbelievable!   It would look good with some ribbon on it though wouldn’t it?  Hmmm…..

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple For All Things

053Here’s a lovely fall card for you…perfect for a fall-like morning.  It’s Simple Saturday and this card is definitely simple.

The focal point of this card is the absolutely gorgeous Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper.  I fell in love with it the minute I saw it at convention.  This paper along with the COORDINATING For All Things stamp set were the only things I purchased at convention.  Isn’t this paper gorgeous?!!!

All I did for this card was  layer the designer paper with some matching card stock and ribbon (Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow) and stamp the saying from For All Things on it.  That’s it!  It doesn’t get too much more simple!  🙂

Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend!

Who Doesn’t Love Designer Paper?!

013When you’re in the market for an easy card head to your stash of designer paper!  That’s what I did for this Simple Saturday card!

This new Maritime Designer Paper is ADORABLE!  It’s so dang cute you don’t even need a stamp on it!  You usually use the designer paper as an embellishment on your card but these patterns are so cute you can use them as the focal point of your card.  There’s nothing easier!  🙂

Does the little octopus on the second card look familiar?  It should!  It’s the same octopus from the Sea Street stamp set.  COORDINATION!  Woo Hoo!  I know…it’s the simple things in life that tickle my fancy!  🙂

Have a great Saturday!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Sassy Salutations

002Here’s a fun and simple card for Simple Saturday!  My card group at church is getting together on Monday so I needed to come up with some easy cards we can make in bulk.  I was trying to come up with some designs and realized that I have TONS of designer paper that is retiring at the end of this month so……

This Birthday Basics Designer Paper is perfect for….well…birthdays!  Ha!  Of course before I got too carried away with my design I needed to make sure I had ribbon that matched the designer paper.  🙂

Speaking of ribbon….I just counted and there are about 50….yes, 50!….new ribbons in the upcoming catalog!  Woo Hoo!   I’m in heaven!  I should have no problem at all designing cards now.  Ha!

I actually had a number of ribbon choices that coordinated with this designer paper but I decided to go with the Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.   It’s so bright and fun and just perfect for a birthday card!  The birthday sentiment is from the Sassy Salutations Stamp Set.  Another fun choice!

After a quick run to the grocery store I’m hoping to sit down and play with some of my new toys!  I can’t wait!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Petite Petals Notecard

003Here’s a cute and simple card for Simple Saturday.  This is another card that we’ll be making at the event I’m participating in next Thursday.

One of the simplest parts of this card is that it’s a notecard from the Notecards and Envelopes.  These notecards are such a cute size.  5″ x 3 1/2″.  The splotch on the card is from Gorgeous Grunge, the sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts and the flower is from Petite Petals.  The best part of using the Petite Petals stamp is using the COORDINATING Petite Petals Punch to punch out the flower!  To finish the card off just add a little rhinestone bling from the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Slowly but surely I’m getting ready for my event next week.  I have most of the projects cut and now I’m making list of everything I need to remember to bring.  I’m bound to forget something.  Let’s hope it’s not anything too critical!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Adorable! More Whales from Hello, Sailor!

022I was absolutely tickled when I finished this card!  It’s TSC!  Too Stinkin’ Cute!  It’s easy enough to post for a Simple Saturday and it’s cute!  I know, I’ve already said that but this card just tickles my fancy!  🙂

I told you about my infatuation with whales the other day so when this card came together I just had to smile!

My adorable whale is from the Hello, Sailor stamp set.  I just stamped him a few times in Coastal Cabana, layered them on Bermuda Bay card stock and added the Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon.  I think the “bubbles” made with Decorative Dots Embossing Folder on the Coastal Cabana card stock just finish the card perfectly don’t you?  TSC!!!!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Best of Butterflies

009Good morning!  It’s Simple Saturday and apparently Best of Butterflies = simple!  Ha!  It’s two weeks in a row that I’ve used this cute stamp set for Simple Saturday (although last week it was Simple Sunday!).   Not only did I used the same stamp set but I used the Notecards & Envelopes again.  They’re perfect for a simple card because you don’t have quite as much space to fill.

I started with a couple strips of the Gingham Garden Washi Tape, added three butterflies and a couple of layers.  That’s it!  Card done!  You can’t get much simpler.  I did add a liner to the envelope with the fantastic Envelope Liner Framelits.  Just perfect to jazz up the whole thing!

Well, I’m going to play in my craft room today and get ready to have the neighbors over for a little pre-St. Paddy’s Day celebration.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Best of Butterflies: Simple Sunday (?)

012Simple Sunday?  What’s up with that?  It’s suppose to be Simple SATURDAY!  Well, when you’re a little distracted and forget to post on Saturday you just move it to Sunday!  You still have the same alliteration….right?  😉

I decided that since February was over I needed to move on to another “Best of” stamp set.  Don’t worry…I do still have one more really cute card made with “Best of Love”.  However, today’s sample is made with “Best of Butterflies”.

I’m not kidding when I say simple….I mean simple!  These cute little cards are made on Stampin’ Up!’s Notecards & Envelopes.  I made the card on the left first and decided it was a bit too simple for my taste.  It’s not bad but I liked it a whole lot more when I added another couple layers.  Just call me the Layer Queen!

Don’t you love the font on the “thank you”?  That stamp is from the “Lots of Thanks” stamp set.  They mean it when they say “lots”….there are nine different thank you stamps in the set.

Since the cards were so simple I decided that I really needed to dress up the envelope.  I used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and die cut a liner with my Envelope Liner Framelits!  Too fun!

Simple cards for a Simple Saturday….ooops!  Simple Sunday!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
