Simple Saturday: More Watercolor Wonder Note Cards

imageWe’re still trying to stay warm here in the frigid homeland.  They’ve already cancelled school on Monday for the entire state because of predicted wind chills. Brrr!

Here’s a couple of very simple cards for Simple Saturday. You just can’t go wrong using the Watercolor Wonder Note Cards and Envelopes for simple cards. All I did for these was stamp a sentiment from the Loving Thoughts stamp set. That’s it! Simple!

Have a warm day! Take care and Happy Stamping!

Happy Watercolor

imageHello from frigid Minnesota!  We’re having a heat wave here in the homeland as the temp will actually get above zero!  I decided that I needed to post a spring-type card today to make me feel warm!  Ha!

Today is the first day that you can order from the fabulous new Occasions Catalog! Have you made your wish list yet? Today’s card is made with some of my favorite items from the new catalog. The gorgeous paper is the Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper and the stamp set I used is Happy Watercolor. I also used the new Petite Petals Punch and the new Basic Metal Buttons. Oh…I almost forgot to mention the fabulous Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. On the card we used just a thin strip of paper in the punch. It will fit a piece up to 2″. I’ve already made a few things with this fun new product.

We made this cute card at my upline’s Christmas gathering. Pretty darn cute, isn’t it?!

Take care, Happy Stamping and Stay Warm!!!!!

Valentines!

001Christmas is over so it’s time for Valentines, right?!

Stampin’ Up! has an EASY way for you to make your valentines this year.  Check out these cute little “Sweet Sayings” Card & Envelopes.  The cards are already printed with the cute design on them.  All you need to do is add a little decoration!  The envelopes come in the fun colors of Real Red, Pool Party & Crisp Cantaloupe (which are the colors on the cards!).  12 cards, 12 envelopes all for only $5.95 (item #134609).  These are only available through January 27th or while supplies last.

I decorated my notecard with little pennants from the “Language of Love” stamp set and a quick sentiment from the best stamp set in the world….”Teeny Tiny Wishes“!  I thought about dying a piece of baker’s twine red but went simple instead and just drew my string for the pennants.

Yep, it’s still December but it’s time to start thinking hearts!  😀

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Another Sneak Peek!

Here are the o016ther two cards I made using a few of the new products from the Occasions Catalog!
I absolutely LOVE these Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes!  They’re gorgeous and they make it SO easy to whip up a card!   Yesterday I whipped up a quick set of all-014occasion cards for a gift.  This has got to be one of the first things you order when the catalog comes out on January 3rd!  🙂
The Just Sayin’ stamp set is so much FUN!  And with the coordinating framelits you can’t go wrong….especially when you can purchase them in a bundle.  I know you’re going to love the Occasions Catalog as much as I do.  If you haven’t received yours in the mail just let me know and I’ll be happy to send you one!
Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simply Saturday: A Sneak Peek!

010012How about a sneak peek for Simple Saturday!  The Occasions Catalog is coming and it’s FABULOUS!  I just had to share some of the new products with you!

Aren’t these adorable cards?  They’re both made with three new products and ink!  The first products you see are the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards.  Aren’t they gorgeous?  I love the chevron design.  These are just two of the five designs.  I’ll show you two other designs next Saturday.

The other two new products kind of go together.  They’re a new stamp set called Just Sayin’ and it’s coordinating framelits.  I LOVE stuff that coordinates!  😀

The note cards are actually made from watercolor paper so they’re a little thicker and have some texture.  Like I said before, they’re gorgeous!  These little cards were so fun and easy to make.  You’ll have to give them a try!  You can order your new products January 2nd!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

An Easy Flower Shop Card

004Last week I had an All-Occasion Stamp-a-stack class.  We made 15 cards (3 each of 5 different cards) for any occasion.  We needed to get the card stash ready for 2014!

This card was made using the Flower Shop stamp set.  The sentiment is from the hostess stamp set Express Yourself.

One flower is stamped directly on the card front and the other two are stamped on scrap paper and punched out with the Pansy Punch.  One of the punched flowers is adhered to the card front with adhesive and the other is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the card a little pop!  Of course you can’t go wrong with a PINK card now, can you?  😀  Isn’t Strawberry Slush a great color?  I love it!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Technique Tuesday: Starbursts!

Festive FlurryIt’s Technique Tuesday and here’s a fun new technique for you:  Starbursts!

The great thing about this technique is that you can do it with stamping or designer paper or a combination of both!  Check out the Stampin’ Up! video below to see how you do this technique.  It’s pretty cool.

On my card I masked with the first pattern and spritzed the card stock with Bermuda Bay ink.  Then I masked with the second pattern and stamped Bermuda Bay snowflakes with the Festive Flurry stamp set.

Give this fun technique a try!  It’s pretty fun!  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Tags 4 You

011Simple Saturday!  If you haven’t started your making your Christmas cards this simple one is for you!

All you need is a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, a piece of designer paper from the Season of Style Paper Stack, two piece of Cherry Cobbler 1″ Grosgrain Ribbon and a tag stamped with the Tags 4 You stamp set and punched with the Label Bracket Punch.  That’s it!  Put them together and you have this cute and simple card!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!  🙂

Wonderful Blessing

009Isn’t this a beautiful stamp?  It’s called Wonderful Blessing and it’s one of the current single stamps available.  There are eight great Christmas single stamps available until January 31st.

This is one of the cards we made for our Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack last month.  I’m planning on making my Christmas cards with My Digital Studio this year but if I wasn’t I’d definitely be making these!

It’s great that the stamped image can be die cut perfectly with one of the Circle Framelits.  I thought the background embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder added the perfect touch.  I just may have to make some of these to have on hand next Christmas!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Calm Christmas

007This card is another simple one from our October Christmas card Stamp-a-Stack.  This one was made using the Calm Christmas stamp set.  Didn’t this card turn out pretty using the Island Indigo ink and card stock?  It’s not your typical Christmas color but it’s striking on this card.

Stamping and layers are all you’ll find on this card.  Can you believe that I didn’t even use dimensionals?  Ha!  Simple…..

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Tags for You Thanksgiving

012Are you looking for an easy little card to include with a gift for your Thanksgiving dinner hostess?  This one is perfect.

It’s made with the Tags 4 You stamp set and the fun new Label Bracket Punch.  The designer paper is the adorable Sweater Weather designer paper.  This pattern is probably my favorite from the package.

This is a simple little 3″ x 3″ card.  Did you notice that I lined the little envelope?  How fun!  The Envelope Liner Framelits are great!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

A Simple Festive Flurry

005Way back in October, before the wedding, we had a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack class.  This lovely card is one of the ones we made.  We stamped the snowflake from the Festive Flurry stamp set and die cut it with the Festive Flurry Framelits.  Gotta love coordination!  😀

To finish off the card we stamped a sentiment from More Merry Messages, added some layers, popped up the snowflake and added a rhinestone jewel.  Ta Da!   A beautiful and simple card!

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Really Good Greetings

006I love this sentiment!  Although, shouldn’t it say “finally a day that really is all about me”!  Ha!  That’s always the joke at convention….everything is all about me!

Joking aside…it is a fun sentiment!  It’s from the Really Good Greetings stamp set.

The Naturals Composition Specialty Paper makes such a great background.  And then when you add the fun Chevron Punch and Chevron Ribbon to it….look out!  Adorable card!

I made this card back in August for my open house.  It was so fun to just sit and play with all of the great products that I collect.  I really need to do that more often.  Now that the wedding is done I may have time to just do that!

Do you get to play often with all of your “toys”?  I either have to stop collecting so many toys or make the time to play with them!  😀

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Baby Prints

004My cousin’s daughter is having a baby in January and her shower is this coming weekend.  Unfortunately I can’t make it since it’s back in the MN homeland.  I did buy some of my favorite children’s books for her (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Good Night Moon) and sent them home with my mom when she was here for my son’s wedding.  I didn’t have time to make a card for Kate before the wedding so I made one last weekend and mailed it to my mom so she could include it with the gift.

I used Pink Pirouette on this card but I do have to admit that I kind of miss Pretty in Pink.  The color was just a little more saturated.  I used the Baby Prints stamp set for the little feet and the One in a Million stamp set for the sentiment.  A cute and simple little baby card.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Technique Tuesday: Clear Block Stamping

023Technique Tuesday!  Have you ever wondered if your clear blocks can be used for anything besides holding a stamp?  Well, they can!  You can actually stamp with them!  Yep, stamp with them!

That’s what I did on this simple card.  I inked up the clear block with Soft Sky ink and stamped it directly on the Whisper White cards stock.  It makes the perfect background and adds just the right touch of color to this simple card.

The fun thing about this technique is that you never get the same exact look.  Each time you ink up the block you get a slightly different coverage of the ink.  Pretty fun!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
