Kind Koala

010When I first saw the new catalog the Kind Koala stamp was one I thought was absolutely adorable but didn’t think I really needed….ha!  It was one of the first stamps I purchased!

I wasn’t sure what to do with the adorable little critter so I decided to go simple.  I stamped him on Smoky Slate card stock and just colored the flower in with my Chalk Marker.  Of course I then had to add a bunch of layers and some ribbon.  I also used my favorite new embossing folder:  Zig Zag.  Too fun!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: You Rock!

035It’s got everything:  layers, ribbon, designer paper and it’s still simple!  🙂

We made this card at my team meeting last Saturday.  Cute, simple and fun!  The image is from the single stamp “You Rock” and the designer paper is from the Flowerpot pack.  Isn’t the Calypso Coral Seam Binding gorgeous?  It’s just so bright and true to color!  I love it!  I had to design a card just so I could use that ribbon!  We made it in class last week and I’ll show it to you in the next few days.

This card just makes me smile.  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Be the Star!

013Stars are so fun and they’re really big this year.  Wait until you see the new Holiday Catalog (wink, wink!)!  The big star and the saying are from the new Be the Star stamp set and the small star is from the Something to Say stamp set.

Not only are these stars cute but there’s COORDINATION involved!  Yep, my favorite word!  Be the Star coordinates with the Stars Framelits while the small star from Something to Say can be punched out with the little star punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  Coordination!  Woo Hoo!!!!

Isn’t this a fun card?  It definitely brightens the cold and wet day we’re having here in Denver today!  I CASEd the basic design of the card.  I think the double tags are kind of fun, don’t you?   Of course you can’t be sad when you look at these colors either.  Bermuda Bay and Tangelo Twist are just fun colors!

I hope your day is bright and fun!  Have a good one!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Amazing Birthday With Stars!

028Hello!  On Saturday I had a team meeting/shoebox swap for my team and some of my Stampin’ Sisters.  We had a really nice time.  We talked about all of the fun those of us who went to convention had as well as what’s going on in the world of Stampin’ Up!.

The best part was our shoebox swap.  With a shoebox swap every participant designs a card and brings everything needed to make that card in…you got it….a shoebox! (or some other type of container)  🙂

We made some really fun cards.  This card was designed by Laura K..  Laura joined us at convention this year.  It was her very first one and she had a ball!

Laura used the Amazing Birthday stamp set that we received at convention.  Too fun!  I love all of the stars.  Of course I changed my card up a little from Laura’s sample.  Who wants to stay inside the box?  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Little Duckies in a Row

027Hello!  Today’s card is one I made as a possible entry for a swap in June.  It didn’t make the cut for the swap (in my opinion) but it is pretty darn cute.  Love the duckies!  🙂

The Something for Baby stamp set is perfect for….well…baby cards!  Ha!  It’s great to have many images to choose from.  I’d have to say that the ducks and the onesie are my favorite images in the stamp set.  Best of all though are the MATCHING Baby’s First Framelits!  Coordination!  My favorite word!  🙂

If you’re wondering how I got my duckies lined up so perfectly it’s because I stamped them and then die cut them with those matching framelits!  I could have mounted the ducks to a plain old rectangle of card stock but I wanted something a little different so I used the new File Tab Framelits on the Whisper White card stock.  Kinda fun, isn’t it?

I made the wave my punching half circles with the 3/4″ Circle Punch.   The Decorative Dots Embossing Folder is still one of my favorites.  Doesn’t it look like bubbles!  I love it!  I hope you like this card as much as I do.  Let me know by leaving a comment.  Thanks!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

3 x 3 Thursday: Sea Street

024It’s 3 x 3 Thursday!  TSC!  Too Stinkin’ Cute!  That’s what I thought when I finished this little card.

The more I use the Sea Street stamp set the more I love it.  All the little critters on it are SO cute!  This little crab is probably my favorite.  It could be because my Zodiac sign is Cancer….  🙂

The little “thanks!” is from the Lots of Thanks stamp set.  It’s fun to have a stamp set that gives you lots of options….we should have more stamp sets like this that give us so many options.   We could have one for birthdays, sympathy cards and more…..Hmmmm….I better mention that to Stampin’ Up!…..

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Amazing Birthday!

001Today is my oldest son’s birthday so I thought I’d share this adorable make-and-take project from convention.  Don’t you love it?!

The stamp set used on this project is the new Amazing Birthday.  It’s a fun birthday set with lots of great images.

The pocket holder for the cards is made from one of pieces from the Gift Card Enclosure Pack (pg. 194 in the catalog).  The pocket holds three note cards and envelopes.  What a great gift!

I have so many little projects and chores to do but I don’t know where to start.  My craft room is a mess, I have a class to prepare for and an open house to get ready for as well as all sorts of other little projects.  At least I have time to work on things this week but it’s trying to get motivated that’s the problem.  Has that ever happened to you?  🙂

I guess I better get to work.  Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Back from Convention!

10530754_10152568439498966_274825824572240807_nWow!  We definitely had a good time at convention….Well, we always do!  It’s always a blast spending time with friends, old and new.  We get to see new product, learn new techniques and new ways to run our businesses.  I look forward to it every year.

This is one of the make-and-take projects we made at convention.  Definitely not a design I’d come up with but I love this card.  I’m sure we’ll be making it in class sometime or at least something similar to it.

The stamp set is the new Kinda Eclectic set from the new catalog.  I love how the background was made.   We just inked up one side of the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and pressed it on the paper.  Too fun!  I love learning new stuff!

Selfie.0714Speaking of learning new stuff….here is my very first selfie!  I took this on our very first day in Salt Lake City.  We were having a little happy hour in our hotel room.  In the picture you see Jan, myself, Janet and my roomie Laura.  I think it turned out pretty good!  🙂

Well, it’s back to reality.  Time to clean, do laundry and of course, play with my new stamps!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

I’m Off to Convention!

004It’s time to Party With My Peeps!  I’m off to convention in just a bit.  Can’t wait!  Woo Hoo!  There’s just something about hanging out with my fellow demonstrators, stamping, learning new techniques and checking out new products.  I LOVE it!  I’m so grateful that I can go.  Maybe you’d like to join me next year!  I’d love to show you the ropes!

This is my swap card for convention.  I’ll trade it for other cards and come home with tons of new ideas!  Of course I had to use my favorite Flamingo Lingo stamp set and my favorite color Melon Mambo because it’s PINK!  🙂

I’ll try to keep in touch over the next few days but if you really want to see what I’m up to at convention be sure to check (and LIKE!) my Facebook page.  Gotta go and get my bags in the car!  Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Have You Missed Me?

Well….I’m back once again (at least for a few days!)  It seems like it’s been forever since I’ve chatted with all of you!  Vacation was good.  We had good visits with all of the relatives in MN and I got to see a few of my friends from high school.  The weather wasn’t bad.  Not too hot, not too cold and not too much rain.  Unfortunately my son caught the crud the second week of vacation and was kind enough to share it with my husband and I.  The three of us have been sick all this past week at home.  My son and I were smart enough to head to the doctor on Friday and the two of us are now on antibiotics and feeling and sounding much better.  I wanted to make sure I wasn’t sick for convention this coming week!

Since you’ve missed me so much you’d probably like to see an adorable project.   Yesterday I opened my home to a baby shower.   I only had to supply the air conditioned house.  My friend’s daughter did all the work.  The mother-to-be is expecting twins ( a boy and a girl) so there were TONS of adorable gifts on hand.  On Friday I decided I had better make a card for the occasion.  I know I have an old stamp set somewhere that would be perfect for twins but of course I couldn’t find it anywhere!  (I really need to get organized!)  I decided to then work with the adorable Zoo Babies stamp set.

002TSC!  This card turned out Too Stinkin’ Cute!  I’ve seen these adorable Card In A Box projects and thought I’d give it a try.  I love the way this one turned out!  They’re really not too hard to make.  I will work on making a tutorial for you….and those of you who come to my classes….we’ll definitely be making them in the near future.  I know you’ll love them!

So was missing me worth the wait?  I hope so.  Stick with me because I’ll be gone again in a few days.  I’m heading to Salt Lake City for Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention.  Woo Hoo!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

I Love Flamingos!

014Why am I so enamored with flamingos?  I have no I idea….maybe because they’re PINK?  Whatever the reason they sure make a cute card!  🙂

Yes, I used the Flamingo Lingo stamp set again!  I hope you’re not bored with this stamp set yet because I’m not done with it!

This flamingo is stamped in Strawberry Slush so I was able to use the really cute Thick Baker’s Twine on the card.  I love the new Zig Zag Embossing Folder.  It reminds me of a straw hat or woven basket and it works perfectly with pink flamingos!

I’ve started packing for convention and what’s not already in the suitcase is organized and ready to be put in.  I’m still doing a bit of laundry but all is well.  Only two more day until Salt Lake City!  Woo Hoo!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Easy Sea Street!

025I am so glad I have the Sea Street stamp set.  It’s adorable!  I think I first fell in love with the little crab, then the octopus.  Of course the little lobster is pretty darn cute too.

Have you checked out the adorable COORDINATING (yep…there’s my favorite word again!) Maritime Designer Paper?  I LOVE it!  Back in May I had a post that showed two cards made with the just the designer paper….no stamping!  This paper is that cute!

I made this card back before the new catalog actually was out so the ribbon on this card is retired.  We used the new Real Red 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon on the card in classes this week.  It’s just as cute.

I’m looking forward to July when I get back from vacation.  Then I’m going to invest in all of the new ribbons and designer papers.  I like to have all my options available when I’m designing a card!  🙂

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Another Fabulous Flamingo!

012Woo Hoo! I’m a winner!  Yesterday I told you all about Paper Pumpkin….such an awesome kit!  Anyway, Stampin’ Up! is holding a Paper Pumpkin boot camp for it’s demonstrators so we can learn more about the program and how to market it and such.  I’m participating.  After we complete each week’s training and challenges we fill out a survey and then names are randomly chosen for winners.  Well guess what?  I was a winner from week 1!  Woo Hoo!  Such a treat!

Back to today’s card….another flamingo!  I told you I got carried away with this stamp set!  What I forgot to tell you the other day about the Flamingo Lingo stamp set is that it is this year’s Ronald McDonald House stamp set for Stampin’ Up!.  That means that for every one of these stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! sells $3 will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities.  How cool is that?  So when I purchased this stamp set not only did I get a stamp set that I absolutely love but Stampin’ Up! also donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities!  Woo Hoo!  I love Stampin’ Up!!

If you love Stampin’ Up! too and would like to be a part of it and my team of SASsy Stampers don’t forget that June 30th is the last day to take advantage of $50 Starter Kit!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

My Absolute Favorite!

FlamingoLingo.0614Here it is! My absolute favorite stamp set in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog….Flamingo Lingo! Isn’t it adorable? I have this thing about flamingos. Not sure why, but I do.  When I first got that new catalog in my hands and was flipping through it this is the stamp set that I knew I just had to have!

I finally played with it last weekend and made tons of cards with it.  Ok…that’s a slight exaggeration but I did make a lot!  Here’s one of them.  It’s actually the first one I made.

010Don’t you love the scallop design on the card?  That’s made with the new Striped Scallop Thinlit Die for the Big Shot.  Too fun!  The thing to remember when using Thinlit dies is to place a sheet of wax paper between your die and your card stock.  This makes it so your card stock doesn’t stick in the die.

Don’t you just want to go on a tropical vacation when you see this stamp set?  I sure do!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Who Wants Ice Cream?

034A hot summer day is the perfect time for ice cream or at least an ice cream cone card!  Pretty darn cute, no?

This card is pretty easy…maybe not quite simple enough for Simple Saturday but pretty close.  I used that fun stamp set “What’s Your Type?”.  Yep, another one of those stamp sets that you seen in the catalog and are pretty sure you don’t need…until you see all of the cute projects made with it!  Don’t be so quick to judge though….it’s actually a pretty versatile stamp set!  🙂

You may not believe this, but I didn’t get the idea for this card from Pinterest…..it’s actually my own design!  I know….hard to be believe!  It’s a triangle and a half circle with some smaller circles from the Cupcake Builder Punch thrown on for sprinkles.  The adorable saying is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set.  Don’t forget the fabulous Decorative Dots Embossing Folder!   A perfect card for summer!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!
