More Acorns!

022More acorns!  Acorns always remind me of Minnesota.  We had lots of oak trees and lots of acorns back in the Homeland.

Another fun swap card with acorns.  Thanks Julie!  These little acorns are from the For All Things stamp set which of course COORDINATES with the Color Me Autumn designer paper.  I love all the little banners on this card!  Some of the banners are made from the Color Me Autumn designer paper pack, some are plain card stock, some are ribbon and some are pieces of the Color Me Autumn Washi Tape stuck on card stock.  How fun is that?!

It’s a little hard to see in the picture but Julie sewed a row of zig-zags on the edge of the card stock making it look like that’s what is holding the banners on.  Too cute!  I’d love to try this little technique but my sewing machine isn’t working and I’m in the market for a new one.  Unfortunately the one I kind of like the best costs a bit more than I had anticipated spending.  Hmmm….what to do?  Should I bite the bullet and get the really nice one or find something a little more in my price range?  What would you do?  Leave a comment and let me know!  I could use all the help I can get…..I’m not good at making decisions!  Ha!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

3 x 3 Thursday: Wetlands

026Another 3 x 3 Thursday and another cute and simple card.  These little cards are easy to make and fun to give.  I know that my customers enjoy getting them with their orders.  It’s a nice little surprise.  Have I mentioned that I don’t write in the little card itself?  I write on a sticky note so then the recipient can reuse it!   I’ve heard of some people doing this with full size cards.

I used the Wetlands stamp set for the grains and the Says It All stamp set for the sentiment.   The yellow is the new Hello Honey.  I think of it as a softer, lighter More Mustard.  Very nice.  Which color do you prefer?  The new Hello Honey or the old More Mustard?  I love to hear what you think?  Leave a comment and let me know!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Stuffed With Happiness!

016Here’s a fun card for Thanksgiving!  Thanks Janet!  This is another card from the swap I organized.

The fun sentiment is from the Mingle All the Way stamp set.  It just makes me smile!  How about you?  Don’t you love all the acorns?  The acorn designer paper is from the Color Me Autumn pack.  The larger acorns are die-cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz die and the Big Shot.

Now you’re wondering how Janet did the design behind the acorns didn’t you?  Oh…you didn’t notice it?  Well, look again.  Isn’t it fun?  We learned this little technique at Convention and it’s become one of Janet’s favorites.  I haven’t tried it yet but I really need to.  What did she use to make that fun grid pattern?  Well, you may have some of it in your house down in the workshop but if not, you can get it at any hardware store….it’s drywall tape!  Yep!  Drywall tape!  Too fun!  Just lay it on your paper and sponge some ink over it!  Easy and fun!

Are you going to run to the hardware store and get some so you can use it on your projects?  If you do be sure to send me a picture of your project to cindy@stampbystampcreations.com.  I’d love to see them!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Holiday Home: New Home!

013Hello!  Aren’t you impressed?  I’m actually posting two days in a row!  Can I make it three in a row?!  😉

Here’s another swap card.  This one uses the fun Holiday Home stamp set.  Talk about versatile!  This stamp set is great!  You can use it for so many holidays!  Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween and of course for a new home!  Stampin’ Up! has been needing a stamp set to make cards for people moving into new homes.  I sure hope this stays around.

I love the simple layout Andrea used on this card.  The one highlighted house really pops.  Too cute!  Thanks Andrea!

Have you used this stamp set yet?  I bet you can guess one of the big reasons that I love it….Yep!  It has COORDINATING framelits!  Included in the Homemade Holiday Framelits set are framelits for the three little house!  Woo Hoo!  No cutting necessary to make one of these little houses pop!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Wondrous Wreath: Baby Wipe Technique!

025Honest!  I’m really trying to stay on top of my blog posts.  Stick with me!  I did make it back from the MN Homeland but then I was playing catch up on everything.  I know….excuses, excuses!  I am posting a really pretty card for you today to make up for being a slacker though…..

Today’s card is another one I received in my swap.  Isn’t it gorgeous?  Jan used the Baby Wipe Technique on this card.  In the Baby Wipe Technique you use the baby wipe as your ink pad.  Squirt drops of coordinating ink colors on your baby wipe and you have a multi-colored ink pad!  Wow!  It’s that easy!

Have you used the fun new Wondrous Wreath stamp set and the COORDINATING Wonderful Wreath Framelits?  If you haven’t, you really need to!  They’re so easy to use!  Both the stamps and the framelits have little tabs on them so you can line everything up perfectly.  I have another card to share with this stamp set in a few days so I’ll take a picture of the stamps and framelits so you can see what I’m talking about.

Jan used both the fun Autumn Wooden Elements and the gorgeous Blackberry Bliss ribbon on this card too.  The sentiment is from the For All Things stamp set.  Beautiful, beautiful beautiful!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Freaky Friends Birthday

029Hello from the MInnesota Homeland!  It’s nice to get away and relax a little.  Today’s card is from a swap I organized.  Laura used the adorable Freaky Friends stamp set.  I love that she made a birthday card with the set instead of a Halloween card.  Versatility!

The fun designer paper is versatile too.  It’s from the Motley Monsters Halloween pack.  The senitment is from the Just Sayin’ stamp set.   And yes….Laura did use the coordinating framelits!  🙂

A fun and easy card not just for Halloween!  Have a great day!  Take care and happy stamping!

3 x 3 Thursday: Four Feathers

002It’s 3 x 3 Thursday!  Today’s cute little card is made with the Four Feathers stamp set.   Yep….another one of those stamp sets that I didn’t need until I saw all sorts of wonderful samples made with it.

I’ll call this my “soft” card because the colors I used on it are Soft Sky and Soft Suede.  Don’t they work nicely together?  The cute “thank you” is from the Lots of Thanks stamp set.  Isn’t this a great font?  This is one of those stamp sets where all of the sentiments are printed with different fonts.

I bet you know what my favorite part of this card is, don’t you?  Yep….the COORDINATING Feathers Framelits Dies to cut out the feather!  Coordination!  Woo Hoo!  🙂

We’re off to the Minnesota Homeland again.  This time for a wedding.  No hard labor for this girl on the trip!  Hubby is staying longer though to go close up the family cabin.   I have things to do, places to go and people to see back her in Colorado!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

For All Things – Two Ways!

002Fall!  My favorite season!  I love when the weather gets cooler and I need to wear a jacket.  I love that it’s football season and that the leaves start changing color.  When fall comes around it’s not hard to be grateful for all things.

The new For All Things stamp set in the Holiday Catalog is gorgeous!  I love it because it screams FALL!  I CASEd this card directly from the Stampin’ Success magazine which is for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  Cute and simple!   The Color Me Autumn Washi Tape is so fun on the card and the Gold Basic Metal Button finishes the card off perfectly.

018Why stop with a card though?  This is such a simple design why not use it on something else?  Well, that’s exactly what I did.  For another boot camp assignment we had to make up a little packet that would introduce our self to someone telling them what we do.  We were also suppose to include a couple of cards and a class schedule.

I decided to use to use the same design as I used on the card.  I put it on a banner, die cut it an adhered it one of the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  Too cute!  We only had to make and hand out three.  The people I gave it to loved them so I think I’ll need to make some more.

So, do you like the design better on the card or on the bag?  Leave me a comment to let me know.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Another Cupcake Party CASE

I think I’ve mentioned that I’m taking a boot camp for my business.  One of the fun things about it is that we have a stamping project each week.   Some of these assignments remind us that Stampin’ Up! and our fellow demonstrators post ideas in magazines and online for us to copy.  We don’t have to always reinvent the wheel!

057Today’s card is from one of those assignments.  We had to CASE (copy and share everything) a sample from Stampin’ Up!’s bimonthly demonstrator magazine Stampin’ Success.  Yes, I did change a few things but that’s the beauty of CASEing.  You start with someone else’s card and make it your own.

All the images on the card are from the Cupcake Party stamp set.   One of the best things about this stamp set is that there is a COORDINATING punch!  Woo Hoo!  Coordination!  You don’t think I was going to cut out all of those cupcakes did you?!   The great thing about this card is that you can change the colors up (I did!) and make it a guy card too.

Hey….did any of you get to stamp yesterday for World Card Making Day?  I’d love to see what you made……

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Simple Saturday: Bridal Shower

Happy National Card Making Day!  I was hoping to host some kind of event today but it just didn’t happen.  I have another Frightful Wreath class today.   Have you made your wreath yet?  They’re so fun!  I also have a bridal shower to attend but I won’t make that since it’s at the same time as the class.  I guess when it rains it pours!  Oh, well.

009I did get a nice gift for the shower and of course I had to make a card to go with it.  I’ll send the gift along with one of my neighbors.  I used the retired Love & Laughter stamp set for my simple card.  This set is perfect for weddings and showers.  I know, I shouldn’t show you something you can’t purchase anymore but…..you can get the digital download for this stamp set on My Digital Studio!  Just print it out and adhere it to your card!

This card is simple (yep…Simple Saturday) and a little bit elegant.  Nothing too fancy.  Just my image and some ribbon.   Even though PINK is my favorite color I don’t use Pink Pirouette very often but it was just the right color for this card.

I’m hoping I get a chance to play a little more after my class today since it is National Card Making Day.  Are you going to get your stamps and ink out?  Send me a picture of your creation at cindy@stampbystampcreations.com.  I’d LOVE to see it!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Making Spirits Bright (for Halloween!)

005Making Spirits Bright has got to be one of the cutest stamp sets I’ve seen in a long time.  Yes, it may be because I enjoy an adult beverage now and then but I really do like this stamp set!  The images are cute but I think what I really like are the sentiments!

The sentiment on this stamp set is too cute!  “Bring on the Boos”!  Ha!

This is a pretty simple card.  I stamped the bat from Tee-Hee-Hee all over the Tangerine Tango card stock.  The glass and sentiment are all on the same stamp from Making Spirits Bright.  I colored the image, added a few layers and of course some ribbon and my card was done!

Yesterday I had a couple of brand new stampers in my class and it was so fun to see how excited they got when they completed a card.  It was a great reminder of why I do this…not just because I enjoy it but because of the joy it can bring to others.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Ghoulish Greetings!

001It’s another card made with the adorable Freaky Friends stamp set!

I’m participating in an on-line training for my business.  Each week besides business type training we have some type of stamping project that we have to complete.  One of the weeks we had to find a card in the Stampin’ Up! catalog and change the stamp set and colors on it for our card.  I copied the card on page 135 in the catalog that used the Happy Hour stamp set.  It’s a nice and simple design and the little monsters worked perfectly!

This past week was pretty busy but things are looking good for the next week or so.  I’m hoping to catch up on some things both in my business and at home.  We’ll see how far I actually get!  Ha!  The best laid plans……

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

3 x 3 Thursday: Flamingo Lingo!

021Pink flamingos!  How can a card get any better?  🙂

It’s 3 x 3 Thursday and here is another card that I’ve used as a thank you in my orders.   Little cards like this are fun and easy to make.

For some reason I’m extremely busy these days.  I can’t believe it’s almost October!  Sheesh!  I have events to plan and cut for as well as my every day (boring) chores.  I’d just like to sit down and play with all of my new toys from the Holiday Catalog.  I see so many adorable samples that I want to copy but I just don’t have the time!  🙁

I guess I should try to get more organized…..either that or stop playing games on my iPad and reading books!  Do have the same problem?  Is there a little something in your life that you enjoy doing that you shouldn’t do as much as you do?  Leave a comment and let me know.  I’d like to know I’m not the only one who wastes too much time!

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

Cupcake Party CASE

010Whew!  The problem is fixed!  Thank goodness for forums!  On with the post….

Copy And Share Everything!  We demonstrators love this.  For those of us who seem to never have enough time to create we can just copy someone else’s idea.  I do this quite often.  It’s definitely a life saver….ok….maybe just a time saver!

When I CASE someone else’s project I usually change a little something here or a little something there to kind of make it my own.  This card is CASEd directly from the annual catalog.  Stamp for stamp, color for color…..everything!  It’s such a bright, fun card that I couldn’t resist!  🙂

How can you go wrong on a card using Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay?  I’m pretty sure these are two of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors.  What are your favorite colors?  Leave a comment and let me know.

Have a great day!  Take care and Happy Stamping!

I Haven’t Forgetten You!

I just wanted to let you know that I’m still around and haven’t forgotten you!  I’m just having a little problem with my blog…..I can’t seem to get the photos in the posts.  Bummer!  How are you going to enjoy all of my cute projects if I can’t post them on my blog!

I’ll be working on this issue today.  Stick with me!  Thanks!
